- Q: can you recycle a vacuum cleaner?
- Yes, okorder /
- Q: Can you improve a vacuum cleaners suction (with tweeks) or filteration (by adding aditional filter)?
- Well if you can you would probably be a pretty good engineer. I would keep any existing filters cleaned regularly and if you are using a bag They tend to have better air flow when first installed(empty). You didn't mention what type or for what purpose. If you are cleaning carpet you need agitation, air flow, and suction. Setting it too low would cut down on air flow. Too high would increase air flow but you would not get the suction down where you need it. You might get some better answers if you add details.
- Q: I just bought a Kirby Sentria and was wondering if I had been taken. Price was $2100 and I got it for $1395 with two old vaccums. Guess I was concerned, other than the price, that there is virtually no ratings on other sites about how good a Kirby is against other vacuums.
- I clean house for a living. I despise the Kirby. It isn't any better than it's cheaper counterparts. I know....when they demonstrated it it really picked up the dirt. ALL NEW vacuums will clean that well. They are over priced dinosaurs!
- Q: Does small industrial vacuum cleaners work perfectly ?
- anything called industrial means it's built better (with steel rather than plastic) and lasts longer and cleans better. Everything you use takes a little work on your part though.
- Q: Every vacuum I've had has broken. Two Bissells and Eureka. Cleanview Helix, The other Bissel is the powerforce compact, and the Eureka Optima. Anyways, the rollers stop rolling, and when I try to use them now, the smell of rubber is in the air. Is this from running over cat litter, and aquarium pebbles? Yeah, I tried replacing the belts, and cutting the hair off the roller, and they just don't work anymore. It's so frustrating. Been going through this for like two years now, and we went through two vacuum cleaners, this year!Should I see about changing the filters? Could that be it? So, so frustrating!!!!!!
- Frankly, I don't think that vacs are made as well as they used to be. I had a Sears Kenmore that I kept alive with replacement parts, from 1983 to about 2007. I bought another Sears Kenmore, and so far, it's a lotta plastic, but I've been pleased...
- Q: Ok i bought a decent hoover just before christmas and it has blown up the thing is last year i had 3 new vacumn hoovers whats wrong with me? What do i do wrong? I have to hoover 3 times a day due to have 3small children under 6 but its never bashed around i really am fed up. Anybody have any suggestions?
- the only thing that would cause them to blow-that easily would be completely blocked vents, that prevent the machine from running too hot and frying itself...so I suggest cleaning your filters and emptying the bag more. Also another thing that commonly breaks vaccuums is running over the cord with the machine
- Q: My son is obsessed with the vacuum cleaner. Every time we go to a store, be it walmart, samsclub, target, home depot or best buy, we have to go to the vacuum cleaner isle. He wants to watch other kids vacuuming on youtube. He wants us to draw vacuums on his magna doodle. He's memorized all the brands of vacuum cleaners. Is this HEALTHY??? Any of you in the same situation? What are your kids obsessed with? PS: lately his interests have expanded to the lawn mowers, lawn tractors, power drills and his father's tool set BUT the vacuum cleaner still remains his all time favorite obsession.
- Well he must be really interested in motors or motor works and such. It's perfectly normal; everyone has a thing that they like. Whether it be vacuums or pencils. There's nothing wrong with this at all.
- Q: I hear the Dyson Animal vacuum is the best thing out there but it has a very tall price tag.Is there anything similar that performs just as well that isnt so pricey?
- Hi, okorder /
- Q: I mean money. Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude. Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my quot;bosson that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.I am not very happy with the pay and the quot;bossis having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. Well I am currently in uni, let's be realistic, can I find a job with better pay than this? Should I leave the job or not?I have to reply to my boss if I want the job or not by tonight. Thanks
- tell your boss to get screwed!!! thats so low its not funny!!!!
- Q: Hi. I can't find the papers on my bagless vacuum cleaner and was wondering if it is okay to spray the carpet cleaner on and then vacuum with a quot;baglessvacuum cleaner. I can't really imagine what it would hurt since the only real difference I can see is that all of the dirt is going to a container instead of a bag. Thanks everyone...I haven't had this all that long and didn't want to do something that would damage my vacuum, so if you have a bagless vacuum and have done this or if you know something about them....please respond. I really appreciate it.
- I guess it would depend on what kind of carpet cleaner you are talking about. If it comes off the carpet wet, it wouldn't be a good idea. The reason I say this is because a few months ago I took out and rinsed the filter (like the book said I could), but I didn't let it dry thoroughly before I put it back in. Then ONE WEEK later that silly thing still wasn't dry and it wouldn't pick up anything. I didn't KNOW that, however, and I took it into the shop where I found out the problem. All I guess I'm saying is, if the filter gets wet there might be a problem.
