Q: I got a XFX radeon 5750 graphics card and after a lot of trouble I realized that I hadn't plugged in the 6 pin PCIe power cable, but I don't see any slots on my power supply, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really don't wanna buy another power supply :(
It okorder /
Q: Does the nvidia GT 520 require any power supply cables to be attached to it or do only the mid/higher end cards like HD 6870 require psu cables to be attached? Thanks
No, the GT 520 is a low-power consumption card that doesn't need an external cable. It draws all the power it needs directly from the PCI-E x16 slot. Same story for the GeForce GT 430, GT 440, GT 630 and Radeon HD 6450, 6570, 6670 7750. None of those cards require external power. The GeForce GTS 450, GTX 550 Ti, Radeon HD 7770 and Radeon HD 6850 require a 6-pin cable. The Radeon HD 6870 and GeForce GTX 560 require two 6-pin cables, not just one.
Q: Right now, the cables behind my audio receiver are tangled beyond recognition. I need to organize them...How should I bundle my speaker wire to minimize RF and EM interference? I've heard that a quot;8-shapedbundle is good.Is there any truth to this claim? If so, explain. Thanks in advance!
I've never heard of the 8 shaped bundle but if it's how I think it is, I don't see how it would clear things up. Maybe just un-tangling them and re setting them all up in a better way?
Q: Our comcast HD cable box usually has the time and a little red light on front. Its blank and has no power. It is plugged into a power strip that also has the TV and stereo, yet those are working fine. We reset the power strip and still no power to the cable box.Any ideas? Please no rude remarks. Thanks.
Cable boxes can die. I had two Comcast boxes, had an electrical storm and it knocked both of them out for good. Nothing else in the house failed. I called Comcast they sent out a tech with new boxes and that fixed it.
Q: i just got a junked up PS2 and i'm taking it apart to see what all is wrong with it and do a thorough cleaning of everything inside and i discovered that the problem is the power eject ribbon cable is tattered. is there anyway i can make a homemade style cable or repair the old one. i know there are like 5 to 10 bucks but im a major cheapa$$ so to say so any tips or tricks???
Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
Q: Can A bad battery or power cable cause a laptop to Blue Screen? Is there anyway to pinpoint the actual cause?
BSOD errors are usually caused by driver problems. Try updating the computer's drivers. Try switching between the manufacturer's drivers and the drivers provided by Microsoft Update (assuming it is a Windows laptop). Overheating can cause BSOD errors, and is especially common on Pentium 4, Pentium/Celeron D, and Pentium M era laptops. Bad memory is another strong possibility. You can test your memory using MemTest86. Just search for it on Google. The power supply being about to give out is another possibility. That is more common on desktop models though. Laptop PSUs tend to go out suddenly, all or nothing. Batteries will die in a similar way, although won't hold a charge for as long leading up to eventually not having enough power to even start the computer without support from the power cord. Again, assuming it is a Windows computer, you can use the command prompt and the sfc /scanonce command to fix problems with the operating system files that could be causing the problem. If you want to actually READ the BSOD error before it disappears, right click on My Computer, click Properties to bring up the System Properties screen. Click on Advanced, under Startup and Recovery click Settings, then under the on system failure heading, uncheck the option for automatic restart. Then when the BSOD error occurs, you'll have to press Control Alt Delete to restart instead of the computer restarting automatically. If you get a box afterward that says the system has recovered from a serious error, look for anything in the box that might direct you to an explanation. Be sure to send the crash report to microsoft, because they may send back a link to info on how to solve the problem.

The brick and cable? $50 would be too much for me! Maybe $20.
Q: I have 2 subs and a amp, I have a hi/low converter so it will be able to work. I hooked it all up properly and i noticed i have a empty space on my amp. Its the power control cable. I have no idea how to hook this up to my FACTORY deck. Do i hook it up to the antenna? PLEASE HELP I NEED A ANSWER NOW please thanks-
attatch it to acc power on the back of your head unit, unless you have a chevy or gm newer than 2002 then use the switch method
Q: Due to the large spans the signal must travel it must be amplified or reconstructed at one point, taking into consideration that everything happens underwater, where does the box that reconstructs the signal get it's power.
I don't know but it sounds pretty sick. Maybe electric eels??
