- Q:Wouldn't you say a bed needs to at least be a level resting material that is raised off the ground? What would you consider a bed? Im just asking cause my girlfriend is having this argument with me and she says that the mattress on her floor is a bed. Or she also says that the floor itself is a bed. I say a floor is a floor and a bed is a bed. What do you guys think?
- I agree with your girlfriend. If you can fall asleep on it, it's a bed (even if it's uncomfortable!) ;-)

- I built my first loft bed when I was in high school. It had a closet/wardrobe under it. I built another in college that had a desk under it. I really liked both of them, as they gave me a lot more space in cramped quarters. They are no different than sleeping on the top bunk, which I always enjoyed. I liked the fact that the desk space was partially enclosed, so I could hang stuff over/around my computer without damaging the walls and ceiling.

- With all due respect it's pretty difficult to BREAK a bed frame, but are you thinking of a Platform Bed frame perhaps? 1x 8-10-12, PINE at the appropriate lengths, secured into the frame shape using 2x2's at each corner will work.You can size it for a headboard too if you like, and attach with stove or carriage bolts. You can support the box spring using 2x2's, hardwood slats, etc. Forgive this... I recall it from days when my kids were kids. No More Monkeys Jumpin On Th Bed.

- Q:I got a new full sized bed. The problem is my full/queen sized bedding does not fit. The height of the bed and the box spring togeather is so high my bedding doesn't fit right my my bed. Do I really need a box spring or can i just have my mattres? Thank you!!:D
- You don*t need a box spring but it will be a more comfortable bed with it. If it is too high why not just put a bed skirt around the bed; Even something simple like a king sized sheet between the mattress and box spring will fill in the height dept. for you. to cover the height.or put the sheet right on top of the mattress and let it hang to the floor.
