Q: about two months ago we started to plant our flowers in our garden.then one week later we notice we had alot of dead flowers.then that same day we had some guest over and they all said it was squirrels.so if you have a way of keeping sqirrels out of your garden please tell me!!!!
I've had this same exact problem with squirrels eating my bulbs. One word.... MOTHBALLS!! Well, maybe that's two, but I'm telling you, it works like a charm! The squirrels haven't touched my garden since. You can get mothballs at dollar stores, home and garden stores, pretty much anywhere. You just have to ask around. Once you get the mothballs, place two balls beside each flower, and bury it about half and inch or less into the soil. Squirrels and other small pests HATE the smell of mothballs, and they will stay away from your flowers. Guaranteed. The mothballs will not kill your flowers either, so don't worry about that. You can pretty much put as much mothballs down as you please. The only thing that sucks it that they're a little bit stinky... but hey, it works!! Good luck!
Q: Suggest me some plants for my kitchen garden (vegetables) which are easy to grow and maintain at home?
herbs can be easy along with tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, beans, turnups, carrots. way too many to list like. All very easy to grow what do you like? unit
Q: He has been in training in the Army since the beginning of July. We are both 20 and have an 8 month old daughter. He will be arriving around the 24th of October (graduates training the 23rd), and I will be going to pick him up from the bus station or airport alone(he still doesn't know which form of transp. he wants to take). I would really like to do something nice for him or surprise him in some way.. But chalk it up to quot;mommy brainquot; for leaving me with a complete blank! Should it be late and we have to get a hotel or stay overnight, my mother will be staying with the baby so preparations have been discussed for that possibility. Any ideas on what we can do or I can do for him? Either when he arrives or after he is settled - to celebrate?
Most guys will answer with S** cause soldiers are real S** hungers. I would suggest arrange a short trip to some place of relaxation where both can have a good time together and probably a candle light dinner. It would be the most memorable one. Just a simple trip that is not so taxing both physically on the arrangement and monetarily. Enjoy......
Q: During the finals anyway. In the home and away season BHG is usually in the top 3 and the football is out of the top 10.Friday September 4 2009Adelaide Vs Essendon - 1,022,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 1,011,000 viewersFriday September 11 2009Western Bulldogs V Brisbane Lions - 1,187,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 827,000 viewersChannel 7 are NOT showing the St Kilda game live, but according to the last two weeks they probably should. They probably figure that since they are getting such good ratings for BHG and the football that they don't need to show the game live.I'm just glad that channel 10 is broadcasting their Prelim live.
During the regular season the ratings would depend on which teams are playing. If North Melbourne were to play Fremantle on a friday night the ratings wouldn't be so good. I agree that friday night games during the finals rate better than Better Homes and Gardens.
Q: I need some home decor advice. I will be purchasing a light grey sofa with a glossy black wood coffee table and I will be purchasing a rug to place underneath. Since I want to keep my rug neutral, what advice would you recommend as in the patterns, what color will it look best with my sofa and table? Thanks!
Since your sofa set is already a one with the neutral color you either change one of the two from the rug or the sofa set. Generally a good idea is to have a sofa set with the one with a neutral color and then the rug follows. With the grey sofa set, black rug with a good soft texture will look good. If not black, try going for off white, lime green or light brown. These colors are neutral as you would prefer it and they go pretty good with the grey color of your sofa set. Q: Did brother Adam take his rib out to barbeque when he came back home from the garden?
Such humor .....it's, it's it's forgettable. What a contribution you have made!
Q: Please help me---one got in and with the help of neighbors we got it out--it was a black racer---over 4 ft long
Snakes are good for the garden and they won't hurt you.
Q: Sunset or Better homes and gardens?
Better homes and gardens is the better magazine.
Q: where can i buy curtains that are the same color as this comforter?
Hmmm okorder /
Q: I just bought a new house and I would like to plant pretty flowers. But I'm not really outdoors person so i would like something easy and pretty. I thought about Liliac but i dont know how easy it woudl be to buy and plant and grow. Also i dont want to go to Home depot and look stupid talking to the garden people about flowers...so simple please... Thanks so much. The last home owners has tulips about to bloom can i plant near them or do they need space.
If you want pretty and fragrant flowers, grow rose, lilly of the valley ( convallaria) or jasmine. As for tulips you can dig ,em up after they had flowered and plant lilies, tube rose, dahlia or gladiolus bulbs. They will flower in till late summer.
