You screw your little triangle things on the sides of your mirror, hook a cable between them, and hook the cable to a hanger you've screwed into a stud of the wall.

Most spices grow in tropical or subtropical areas. Herbs can be grown in the home garden in Northern America and Europe. I've listed a link for growing herbs. Just stay away from the mints-they are too invasive for a planter box.
