2.Vermiculite Introduction:

Our vermiculite, we have both crude vermiculite and exfoliated vermiculite in two types: one is Silver-grey type ( Fe2O3 content around 5-8%, similar with South Africa vermiculite); the other type we call Golden-yellow type (Fe2O3 content around 16-23%, similar products with India and Australia). The white type mainly used in refractories/insulations, the golden yellow type mainly used in agriculture and horticulture. If used for agriculture and horticulture, we suggest you use golden vermiculite, because its PH is 6.5-7.2, for silver gray vermiculite, its PH is 8.5-9.5, that's to say, compared with silver vermiculite, golden vermiculite is more neutral. In Japan, Korea market, our customers choose golden vermiculite used for agriculture and horticulture.

Q: What does vermiculite look like?
Vermiculite (Vermiculite) (Mg, Ca) 0.3-0.45 (H2O) n{(Mg, Fe3, Al) 3[(Si, Al) 4O12] (OH) 2} Vermiculite from Latin, with a "worm" and "worm trail shaped.". The vermiculite is suddenly heated to 200 to 300 degrees Celsius and produces a worm like exfoliation along the c axis of its crystal. Thus, it has its name. Vermiculite is a layered structure containing magnesium aluminum silicate water secondary metamorphic minerals, ore shape like mica, usually consist mainly of black mica (gold) by hydrothermal alteration and weathering, because of the heat expansion was loss of deflection shape patterns similar to leech, called vermiculite.
Q: i have a project where i have to solve a murder. and the body was found in an upside-down barrel with a heaping amount of industrial grade moisture absorbing grain that may have been vermiculite?the victim died of blunt force head trauma.. so why do you think they would put the body into the two barrels?PLEASE HELP ME OUT??
Get it tested. There is considerable air flow between the attic and the home, and the insulation only acts as a filter. If you are to seal of the attic, make sure to hire an air-sealer to take care of all penetrations between the attic and conditioned space (there are many) and have his work tested with a blower door.
Q: My 2 year old corn snake is laying eggs for her first timeall of them are infertile because she has never mated. She passed 2 yesterday but she will not do the rest, we don‘t have any vermiculite, perlite or moss and there aren‘t any stores close that have them, is there anything else i can use that she will want to lay her eggs in? We did call the vet he said to soak her in warm water and to heat an area in her tank to 85, but he said nothing about what to put in there for her to lay them in.and she keeps looking.please help!If nothing works we do plan on taking her to the vet, but i‘m hoping we won‘t have to.
Not sure what type of bedding you use but I use the ground coconut shell. I filled a larger plastic coffee can (with a hole in the lid) half full with the bedding moistened just enough so that I could barely squeeze any water out. Its the humidity she's looking for. I'd imagine anything would work (even shredded wet newspaper) as long as its not toxic (such as pine shavings). Best of luck
Q: just wanna know maybey instead of moist paper towels i could put damp vermiculite? and when the eggs are layed how do i get them to the incubator without killing the baby inside
i was going to say pretty mutch what he said
Q: Vermiculite in the end what color is good, my how like false?
Because vermiculite has the ability of ion exchange, it has a great effect on the nutrition of the soil. In 2013, the world's total output of vermiculite exceeded 500 thousand. The major producers are China, South Africa, Australia, Zimbabwe and the United states. Vermiculite is a kind of clay mineral similar to montmorillonite, which is a layered structure of silicate.
Q: pretty much just wanted to see if it would work. I dug a hole put several different layers of wet hay(dryed grass), vermiculite, rye flour, water, and old dead wood, like a tree that's been dead on the ground for years ate up by bugs and what not to the point where its orange(I shredded up the wood pretty good ). I also crumbled up one of my B+ mycilium cakes on the bottom and on the some semi top layer. Just to try even more I squirted about 10cc of My spore syringe on multiple layers. I kno I probably should of used poo but like I said I just wanted to try. Think it might work? Tips would be appreciated. Thank u

Q: I‘ve got about 1,000 Lady Slipper Orchid seeds, and I wanted to plant a few. How would I go about planting it from seed? As for the special orchid mix soil stuff, are there any homemade substitutes for this mix? I know bark and broken bricks work well, but do I mix only that? Can anyone help with all of these questions?
experiment I think is the answer. I think put a few seeds on the surface of a good compost and cover with vermiculite or even just place a glass cover over and a sheet of paper to keep the light out. Think how they might grow in the wild and try to produce the same environment (temperature and humidity) that usually works with most seeds. Orchids tend to need very little moisture and grow on the most inhospitable positions. If I'm not mistaken the Slipper Orchid tend to grow on on rotten tree branches in the wild and like a mist spray every few hours rather than watering as normal plants. Good luck and hope this helps
Q: our red eared slider turtles just layed eggs, 5, one the girl ate, the others we got out and now have in vermiculite soil [sp] cause that‘s how we read to do it. BUT, one of the eggs is darker than the others. what does this mean?
Hardwood floors are timeless whereas most ceramic tiles will become outdated. The resale value of wood floors is much higher. If you want wood floors just have a few extra coatings put on them after they are installed and use a very tough finish such as Bona Traffic. Also, get them recoated every few years to help maintain them. Recoating them is cheap and only takes about an hour.
Q: Bought a female bearded dragon a month and half ago from an aquarium place, no one informed us she was expecting, came home and there is a bunch of eggs in her tank, don‘t know when she had them but apparently some time today, don‘t have and incubator or anything like vermiculite, or sand to use wondering what else i could use and if the eggs are okay and if not what can i do about them as every site says not to throw eggs in the garbage not that I want i‘m just not familiar with the hatching process.
Try to get a incubator ASAP. If not, get a airtight container and fill it with a quarter water and use a water heater on it. Warm it to 80ish and make a platform for them.
