- Big bar:The large cross bar is arranged above the cross bar, and the inner side of the vertical rod is fastened with a right angle fastener and a vertical rod, and the length of the utility model is not less than 6m of the span of the 3m. The large cross bar is connected with a butt fastener, and the joint is arranged in a staggered way, not in the same time and in the same distance. The horizontal distance of adjacent joints shall not be less than 50cm. The distance from the joint to the riser is not more than 50cm

- Q: If you have two workers say standing on a scaffolding, their are downward forces from the weight of the workers along with the weight of the scaffold, and upward forces from tension suspending the scaffolding in place. The opposite forces add to zero and thus the scaffolding remains at rest.My question has to do with what would occur if more/less workers were on the scaffolding. It appears to me that the scaffolding would always remain at rest. Would there always be a ΣF=0 regardless of the amount of workers? As the decreases in weight from removing a worker would also cause the tension force to be weaker? And vice versa if there were more workers?I
- You are correct so long as the scaffolding is not allowed to move. I.e. the cables suspending it are locked and not unwinding from their spools as more workers get on. More weight added would necessarily increase the tension in this type of case. However, if, when another worker got on and the tension could not increase for what ever reason, a downward acceleration would take place that is proportional to the worker's weight. Hope that clears things up.
- Q: I'm trying to understand a problem in my physics book. The problem is this:A person is pulling on a rope, that is connected to a pulley on the ceiling. The rope then goes to a box with a pulley on it, and then up to the ceiling where the rope is connected (to the ceiling). The rope and pulleys are massless and frictionless. The book lists three forces (tension forces) going up and one weight force pulling down.My question is, why isn't there another force pulling against the tension of the rope from the guy pulling the rope?
- The force felt by the person pulling is the same as the force in the rope between the two pulleys. It doesn't matter if the person is pulling straight up (without the pulley) or straight down(with the pulley) it's the same. Therefore the weight/force is divided equally between the two ropes.
- Q: what is the height of a scaffold if the person is 6ft tall?
- Whatever they set it at. It could be 1 foot, 4 feet, or 20 feet. How tall a person is, is irrelevant.
- Q: A 67.0- painter is on a uniform 21- scaffold supported from above by ropes. There is a 3.8- pail of paint to one side. The ropes are 1m inside the scaffold on each side. The pail is 1m away from the left rope and 3m from the right rope. The scaffold is a 6m. How close to the right end can he approach safely? How close to the left end can he approach safely?
- First of all...no units, no answer. Second of all...according to OSHA (Occupation Safety and Health Administration), NO ONE can walk on a scaffold beam outside the support ropes OR SET ANY OBJECT DOWN outside the support ropes. Hence the answers for both questions are 1 meter. It doesn't matter what a calculation will yield...NO ONE can walk on the beam outside the support ropes safely. Even if a torque balance yields that it will not put the ropes in compression and buckle them...it still isn't considered to be safe by OSHA if the painter is outside the ropes.
- Q: Because my friend wants it done but isn't sure :)
- In all honestly, I'd try to talk your friend out of getting that hip piercing. Surface piercings, especially one there, Will reject. I don't mean to sound negative, but have her put two dots where she would want the piercing, and move around as she does daily, she will see how much that area moves. The more movement = the less likely it will heal. They could reject after a month, they could reject after two years. It really depends. No matter how well the piercer, or how well she takes care of it, it will reject. I went to the best piercers in state to get my surface work (sternum, nape) done. I also took care of it by doing sea salt soaks once or twice a day. When that didn't work I used the LITHA (leave it the hell alone) method. The sternum rejected in six months, where the nape was doing great up until that two year mark. Then it started rejecting. If you want to see what a rejecting piercing looks like feel free to send me an Email, I have some pics of my sternum piercing early on - when it started rejecting, then a day or two before I took it out. It honestly looked horrible that few days before I took it out. The piercing place I go to won't do surface piercings on minors, so you have to be 18 for that one in Minnesota. For the scaffold/industrial, you have to be 16 with parental consent and 18 without in the United States.
