So only the tenant's signature is needed. It would be simpler to ask the bank if the tenant can add the son to the account. That kind of thing can usually be done thru the mail (signature cards). - Simply Google 'power of attorney forms Kansas' and take your pick. Remember that a general power of attorney won't give you carte blanch to run your fathers finances, many banks and other institutions require their OWN PoA's to be filled out. Businesses are not REQUIRED by law to accept a PoA, I suggest you sit down with an attorney and discuss options. Besides, I would be more worried about making his health care decisions than any other decision.

Like I was thinking of taking lithium Ion cells out of laptop batteries and soldering them together to make a bigger power bank to power the xbox360. - To make power banks out of laptop batteries is somewhat difficult. The problem would be about recharging mostly, and a little about voltage matching. I doubt if anybody has ever managed to do that successfully. Other more feasible approach I would think, is to use lithium ion or polymer batteries commonly used in Radio-Controlled toys and its general battery charger. That way you can fit the voltage, number of cells, and be able to use balancer and general smart battery charger for your purpose.
