- Q: I am a current rising senior trying to pursue a full-time IB offer at a boutique or MM IB. I attend a private school in Texas that has an extremely strong network and I am looking to stay in Texas for IB. I am majoring in Finance and have a 3.1 GPA and 3.3 Finance GPA. I am now at a MM firm under MA. Any recommendations to what I should start thinking of in order to have an comp.advantage? Thanks,A
- Alot of people that go into ma are lawyers and great negotiaters . They also make great money. If you want to go into this field a law and sicology degreed would be very helpful and financially rewardimg
- Q: i know some basics about the medici bank in italy but not why they formed it, how they formed it, what they did, and how they collected money from the church and gained power during the renaissance.
- The banking industry really evolved out of a process of lending money out at interest. The Medici family was not the first into banking but seemed to figure out how to be more successful at it than many others. The Medicis were well-placed in society, over time and space, politically and religiously. Best to read from my source material. It is an interesting read and if you get your own copy (it was still available in the 1990's) you may be able to use it for further work if you continue on in the discipline of history. You need to know that there is a connection between the Medicis and Machiavelli.
- Q: I am doing a project for econ where I have to interview a bank. The thing is I don't know what to ask. Please help
- Do you want positive Questions or Negative questions? Example-- Pos: When was your bank first established and who started it? -How many customers do you have? -How many assets do you manage? (Value of accounts, Value of loans, Value of investments) -What kind of technology do you employ to power your bank -How many employees do you have -How would a person best start a career at your bank -Do you like what you do? What is the average day like of a (teller, bank manager, loan officer, etc) Neg: Did your bank take a bailout and why? -Why do you use other people's money for making more money, but then charge them to use their own money if they don't have enough to meet requirements. Example: I loan the bank $500 in the form of a savings acount, they charge me $10 a month because I didn't loan them $1500) Edit: I think you should re-ask this question and say: If you could ask a bank 1 question, what would it be. Then in your description explain the types of questions you are looking for. A list of 10 is a lot of ask in a questionbut if you got 10 answers, you'd have 10 questions.

- It won't happen. You can perhaps earn that sum in a lifetime if you work hard and intelligently.
- Q: Don't forget, you have POWERS. You don't need guns, or getaway vehicles, or some elaborate scheme to become a bank CEO. D
- use levitation skills to get the money but first knock out everyone in the cityand run off!!
- Q: How would you? Would you go to the 'Fed' Office and try to buy some stock? Do central banks have stock? If so, what are the powers of that stock? To elect the board? To control the entire Reserve? Explain in full detail.
- Once upon a time some central banks were privately owned. However, all central banks of the major developed nations are NOT private. So, a private individual cannot own or control a central bank. In regards to the Federal Reserve, the controlling portion of the system is the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors does not issue stock and is not owned. It is 100% a government agency. All members of the Board of Governors are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Additionally, the Board is responsible for presenting the Federal Reserve's Annual Report to Congress. There are also additional requirements for the Board of Governors concerning reporting to Congress. The Federal Reserve System also consists of 12 district banks. These district banks do have stock, but that stock is different from standard corporate stock. First, in accordance with law, the only entities that are permitted to hold that stock are banks with U.S. national charters and some banks with state charters. The national banks are required by law to subscribe to the stock of the district bank that is responsible for the district they are located in. The amount of stock the national bank must subscribe to is set by law. The bank may hold no more and no less than the required amount. The stock does not confer any rights of ownership either. It is nothing more than a requirement of membership in the system.
- Q: I was wondering, if someone has a joint account with an uncle, or grandfather, how much power do they have over the money? For example, let's say Sally is 16 and her and her grandfather open a joint account at the bank. Now, how much money can Sally take out, and can the grandfather find out exactly where she spent it?
- I work at a credit union. If the account is set up as a joint account both account holders have equal access to the information. You can set up the account so that both have to be present to make a withdrawl if you are concerned about the 16 yr old blowing all her money. You could also set up a trust account for her. That would give her no access. Sally could get her own account at any age in Canada.
- Q: I understand that all fluorescent light fittings with ballasts have capacitors fitted to correct the power factor. But do many factories/machine shops etc have capacitor banks? Are motors (large or small) supplied with capacitors by the manufacturer for power factor correction? (I think not?)
- I work at a factory as electronic specialist and from what iv seen no. The only places I have seen capacitor banks have been on circuit boards. Our electric motors are just ran off of motor contacts of VFDs if we need a variable speed. All our DC photoeyes and other things we have a DC power supply which also has a capacitor bank inside. Thats about it tho
- Q: A.allowing South Carolina to secede from UnionB.depositing federal funds in the National BankC.refusing to be bound by Supreme Court decisionsD.vetoing the Force Act of 1833 Some people said it's C.But in my textbook, the author uses lots of paragraphs to talk about the veto rights to thge congress to gain more presidential power. So, I became confused~
- If you look at Jackson denying the Supreme Court and kicking the Indians out of the East--you know it has to be C.
- Q: Cite a specific example of an implied power and describe how it was derived from a specific expressed power found in article 1 section 8.
- National Bank. McCulloch v. Maryland (1819). The express requirement/power/responsibility of the federal government to print currency, tax, and spend, necessarily implies a power to charter and establish a national bank as a place to store that money, to operate a bank with deposits and to issue promissory notes, and to pay the debts of the U.S. An express provision regarding taxing and spending necessarily implies any and all unenumerated powers deemed necessary by Congress to perform that function.
