- Well if you don't want to keep them you can look up organizations that wish to use them for a project. There are a lot for Japan, one that was organized recently for the tsunami was accepting cranes for a fundraiser (every crane sent in earned a certain amount of money with the finished collection being placed in an art museum). I know some hospitals accept cranes for the children's ward, that is what my class did in elementary school we made 1000 and the hospital used them as decorations for the Christmas tree. Then there are individual projects that people start online with which they are accepting cranes to fulfill the one thousand mark for people they know who are sick etc. (relates to the story behind the 1000 paper cranes practice).
