Q: Is it to do with visibility? What are some other colours of cranes?
Here is NZ they are normally yellow
Q: how many different types of cranes and winches are there?
A bit more information might help. In England there are Winches and then there are winches. As for Cranes are we talking about birds.........actually there are only a few type of each.......but there can be quite a few variations of the basic types. let's say 6 types of cranes and 4 or 5 winches.
Q: 3years after I quit a job,I am once again looking toward the same field it's just that in my old job they helped me get a crane license when I left the job they kept my certification .How can i get that info without asking my old work for it,or would i have to take the course over?
There is actually no such thing as a crane operators licence - you should tell your new employer that you had undertaken a course in your previous employment and were authorised by them to operate their cranes. The new employer will most likely then send you on another course and issue you with their operators authorisation. The authorisation from your old employer is not transferable to the new one so not having the certificate is not a major problem. It is however good practice for employees to receive a copy of the certificate for their own records.
Q: Has anyone ever folded 1000 paper cranes? If so did your wish come true? If it did come true what did you wish for? :) Thanks so much!
Yes i have. For a college friends wedding. The groom makes at least one crane. She was from Hawaii and it's one of the Philippine traditions. There's a story that goes along with it. In Hi there are companies that will take the flat cranes and form them into another design. like a vase or something that can be framed. I think her wish was just to get them finished within 1 week before the wedding... ;) We DID! That was luck in itself. not sure if her real wish came true.
Q: I am in dyer need of a camera jib wih very little budget and/or tools to build one. I am wondering if i can use a cymbal stand for a crash cymbal as a camera jib? My idea is to modufy it by attatching a small piece of wood to the top screw where you would put a cymbal the screw in an L piece (metal) to it or attach it ti the arm of the stand and just snigly fit it so as the arm is raised and lowered the L pice compensates and stays strait. i would attach the camcorder to the L piece with a 1/4 inch screw and washers. i also need the arm to move smoothly will this work with a crash stand. all advice i am grateful for thanks
The angle of the cymbal on the stand determines the amount of vibration being transferred to the stand. A cymbal on a boom arm verses a straight stand, a heavy tripod verses a lightweight base sounds drastically different. Boom stands can make some cymbals rumble. When boom cymbals stands are somewhat close to staight stands, arm placed close to 180 degree, the cymbal will rumble less.
Q: Where i live i get a damn lot of these come in my house.... I usually just leave them unless there are too many. This was before i was told that they are in fact one of the most venomous creatures on the planet. I laughed, but then was told the same by a friend.Im now Little worried about them coming near me. I understand they have no ability to sting but still... Should i worry about them flying around my house? I was thinking if i were to squash one, doesn't that mean the venom is now on my hand?!Are they really the most venomous creatures on earth? Or am i making a mountain out of a molehill? Thanks
This Site Might Help You. RE: Daddy longlegs/Crane Fly... Most venomous creature on earth? Where i live i get a damn lot of these come in my house.... Q: What are the working mechanisms and safety devices of tower cranes?
About the structure: Tower cranes are all metal structures, so far there is no wood. About institutions: tower crane working mechanisms are: winding lifting mechanism; luffing mechanism; slewing mechanism; cart moving mechanism; lifting mechanism. A safety device: four limit: height limit, amplitude limit, slewing limit, travel limit; three insurance: luffing rope insurance, car insurance broken shaft, the hook to prevent falling insurance; two limit: torque limiter, weight limiter on these roughly.
Q: for example: erection, technical data...
Well now Slartybardfast may be tried lol but he is correct give him the points lol.
Q: how do construction crews put up a crane?
They assemble it on a concrete foundation using a mobile crane. To grow taller, the top unit of the tower crane has a jacking mechanism that lets it raise itself up and insert another tower section.
Q: I have preliminary data: up to 2 tons of weight; work range of 40 meters; lifting torque 800KNm; lifting height 45m.. I encountered problems in the design, and some of its specific reference, I would like to ask here, for example, how much is the weight of its whole machine, how much is the balance weight, the balance of the radius of gyration? Super boom weight? (it's better to have the approximate weight of each component). And when I design this tower crane, is it necessary to use planetary gear for the gear reducer? Thanks to your advice, Liu is here to thank you
You made the tower crane. All manufacturers are not necessarily the same
