- Q: I bought stainless steel appliances a year ago. I have two kids who like to put their hands all over the fridge and they always leave dirty marks all over it. I bought stainless steel cleaner but it doesn't do a good enough job. Anyone know any other cleaning remedies?
- I have a stainless steel cooker which is a nightmare. I've also tried everything but find the only thing that works for me is to wipe over with a damp cloth then immediately dry it with a dry cloth.
- Q: What is the typical size and weight of a steel coil?
- The typical size and weight of a steel coil can vary depending on the specific application and industry. However, in general, steel coils are typically manufactured in widths ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters (1.6 to 6.6 feet) and can weigh anywhere between 1 to 25 metric tons (2,205 to 55,116 pounds). The exact size and weight of a steel coil will depend on factors such as the type of steel used, the intended use of the coil, and the manufacturing process employed.
- Q: What are the common certifications required for steel coils?
- The common certifications required for steel coils depend on the specific industry and application of the coils. However, there are several widely recognized certifications that are commonly required. 1. ISO 9001: This certification ensures that the manufacturer has implemented a quality management system that meets international standards. It verifies that the manufacturer has the necessary processes and controls in place to consistently produce high-quality steel coils. 2. ISO 14001: This certification focuses on environmental management systems. It ensures that the manufacturer is committed to minimizing its environmental impact and reducing waste in the production process. 3. ISO 45001: This certification pertains to occupational health and safety management systems. It ensures that the manufacturer has implemented measures to protect the health and safety of its employees and stakeholders. 4. ASTM International Standards: The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) has established various standards for steel coils. These standards cover aspects such as chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional tolerances. Compliance with these standards ensures that the coils meet the specified requirements and are suitable for their intended use. 5. EN Standards: The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) has developed a set of standards for steel coils, known as EN standards. These standards cover similar aspects as ASTM standards but are specific to the European market. 6. JIS Standards: The Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) are widely used in the steel industry in Japan and other countries in Asia. Compliance with JIS standards ensures that the coils meet the specific requirements of the Japanese market. 7. Product-specific certifications: Depending on the application of the steel coils, additional certifications may be required. For example, if the coils are intended for automotive use, certifications such as ISO/TS 16949 (Quality Management Systems for the Automotive Industry) may be necessary. It is important to note that the specific certifications required may vary depending on the region, industry, and customer requirements. Manufacturers should consult with their customers and industry standards organizations to determine the exact certifications necessary for their steel coils.
- Q: How are steel coils used in the manufacturing of construction excavators?
- Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of construction excavators as they are the primary material for constructing the structural components, such as the boom, arm, and bucket. These coils are processed into various shapes and sizes through cutting, bending, and welding techniques, and then assembled to create the sturdy and durable framework of the excavator.
- Q: How are steel coils used in the manufacturing of automotive frames?
- Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of automotive frames by being shaped, cut, and welded into different sections to create the structural framework of the vehicle. These coils provide the necessary strength and durability required to support the weight of the vehicle and withstand various stresses, ensuring the safety and stability of the automotive frame.
- Q: Will hot dip galvanizing affect the properties of the steel
- galvanize a Steel will lose some Small strength bu it will prolong the steel
- Q: What are the different types of coil recoiling machines?
- The different types of coil recoiling machines include manual coil recoilers, semi-automatic coil recoilers, and fully automatic coil recoilers.
- Q: I know you can still but steel core ammo. I have read that it IS Armor Piercing (AP) and I have read it is not. Which is true? I am not looking for its AP capabilities. I want it if it is or is not AP. I live in Oklahoma. I need to know if it legal for me to purchase it in this state; and where can i get it? I am over 18, not a felon, etc. I have seen it sold online in Oklahoma years ago, but have read it is and isn't legal to purchase here. I am looking for 7.62x39 steel core for an SKS. If anyone knows where or how to get some, please let me know, if it's legal. Thanks.
- If it is the same stuff I have seen before it is NOT AP stuff. The steel core is a mild steel that is used as a filler to give the bullet a longer bearing surface by reducing the weight that would have been the additional lead core. If the bullet was filled with all lead it would be over the weight desired for the load OR the projectile would be shorter making it less stable in flight. Also lead is a more costly metal to use than the cheap mild steel that China is producing. Anyone that has bought a tool at Wally World, BLOWES, Or HOMERS DESPOT in the last decade can vouch for how cheap the Chinese steel is...
- Q: What are the different methods of coil packaging for steel coils?
- There are several methods of coil packaging for steel coils, including stretch wrapping, strapping, banding, and shrink wrapping. Stretch wrapping involves wrapping a stretch film tightly around the coil to secure it. Strapping and banding use metal or plastic straps to hold the coils together. Shrink wrapping involves covering the coil with a plastic film that shrinks when heated, providing a tight and protective cover. These methods help to protect the coils during storage, transportation, and handling, ensuring they remain in good condition.
- Q: The Chinese invented the windmill long before the 1800's, but I cannot find anywhere who invented the steel windmill, I believe it was in the 1800'sIf you know the answer that'd be great! And also if you could find the date it was patented? Thanks SO much!
- The Steel Eclipse Type WG was the first of several self-oiling steel windmills marketed by Fairbanks, Morse, and Company after they became the distributor of all the Eclipse mills about the start of the 20th Century. It has the more important distinction of having been the only widely distributed worm-gear mill in the history of American windmill manufacture. Produced from about 1926 to the mid-1930's, the Steel Eclipse remains in the field today in considerable number in most parts of the country. Hope this helps!
