- Q: Okay, like a week ago I caught a daddy long legs (a crane fly) in my room with a mug and an envelope and I just left it there, when I removed it there were loads of little black dots on the envelope, I didn't really think about it cos I figured it was the coffee that was inside the mug or something. - Crane flies reproduce in summer, but the eggs take 2-3 weeks to hatch, not to mention the time they spend as larvae, so if you caught it last week it doesn't sound like that would be the case. I would call an exterminator to get their opinion.

This is significant because in the arena, Peeta and Katniss threatened the Capitol that they would eat them and kill themselves. If that happened, there would be no victor. President Snow wanted Seneca Crane to kill them. But Seneca Crane let there be two victors, instead of one or none. So, back to the point. Seneca Crane was punished because he couldn't listen to the president's orders. So, he was put in a room with no food, water, etc. If he got hungry he, he had to eat the berries. So, he died. - i aint trained in kungfu but i have studied it... im a karate practitioner and abit of a boxer. one day i was bored and looking up martial arts then i came across kungfu... it was very interesting looking it up. Theres over 300 styles of kungfu. some styles of kungfu represent a animal. For example... you got crane kungfu... if you know what a crane is, its a type of bird... strong on its legs, well balanced... goes with the flow, elegent. Crane kungfu practitioners have strong perfect balance... just like the crane. You got snake kungfu... just like a snake, it looks at there prey and attacks very accurutly... the speed of the snake bite is so fast, you might not even see it coming. So with snake kungfu practitioners... they are swift like a snake, smooth... Theres tiger kungfu... just like a tiger... vicious, focused... they attack there prey, strong... hard. Theres monkey kungfu... not sure about that one. but thats some styles i know... theres other styles like jeet kun do (the way of the intersepting fist)... drunken boxing ect... this is some of what i know... oh yh theres anouther style called the praying mantis... looks very good. so inconclusion... most of the animal styles of kungfu represent the animal in a certain way... which makes kungfu spark out for me. hoped this helped :)
- Q: I've been wondering and haven't been able to find any information on it. Where does the sky crane go after it drops off Curiosity? You see it fly off in all of the videos, but no information is given on where it goes? Does anyone know?
- If you download the simulation called Eyes on the Solar System from NASA, you can watch the sky crane crash somewhere off in the distance in the same crater that Curiosity is in. It had quite a bit more reserve fuel than they expected so it might have flown further than shown. edit: they might have disabled that simulation now. I can't get it to work.

- The first (visible in the first link) is the boom angle pistons. These are mounted to the rotating section and to the boom. The second hydraulics are inside the boom arm. The boom actually has several sections that telescope (like a motorized car antenna). Each section has a hydraulic piston that pushes the section out of the end of the boom. The cable that hangs off the end is wound onto a large cable reel that is on the rotating section. This cable reel is also gear driven, but is usually just run by two standard spur gears. - I am not sure that you are giving us sufficient information. I presume that your crane truck has the boom hinged quite close to the ground, but I am sure that the specified lifting weights will not be achieved until the boom makes an angle of at least 45 degrees with the ground. The 115 foot boom will then sweep a circle of 115 x cos(45) = 81.3 feet, and lift a maximum of 115 x sin(45) = 81.3 feet above the hinge. If the boom is elevated to a 60 degree angle, the circle swept will be only 57.5 feet, but it will lift 99.5 feet. If the boom is lowered to 30 degrees, the circle swept enlarges, bt the distance lifted drops, and the weight lifting capability will also be derated. If the crane has a tower and the weight rating is for a horizontal boom, the maths are quite different.

- I don't really understand what you're saying, but I'll try to help. You can only enter the crane every few minutes or so (I'm not sure of the exact time). When the crane is closed, there will be a gray door barring the way. When it is open, it will have a greenish-yellowish open doorway. You have to wait for it to arrive and open.
