Q: In the last three months I have purchased two separate vacuum cleaners from Wal-Mart.....granted they were cheap...but they were also all I could afford. They have both stopped working...the most recent one I got worked great for about a week ( it cost 40 bucks)..and now it gets so clogged up every time I use it, that its pointless to even try...and it leaves black marks all over my carpet, I have to stop and unclog the hose after only doing half a room....plus it isnt even picking n e thing up!!! I am so fed up.....I can't afford an Orek or a Hoover....is there a cheap vacuum that wont quit on me??? Price range from 50-80 dollars????......Please help!!!
Yes... been there, done that. After much research, I discovered the blue/green Eureka Boss Smartvac Ultra vacuum--The Boss-- at walmart for under $140. I understand it's a little more than you wanted to spend; but, it is such a great vacuum I had to tell you a/b it! It is a bagged vacuum the upright variety. This bagged vacuum is fantastic to keep the dust contained and to suction like no other one we've had before. We've read all the reviews a/b the Dyson and I believe this one is as good in suction or better. After 1.5 years of use, it's still going strong and I have a family with 3 young children!!
Q: My vacuum cleaner has recently lost all suction. I've cleaned out the filters, and made sure the tubes aren't clogged with gunk, and everything is pretty clear. Any other suggestions? I'd rather try to fix it then buy yet another new vacuum.
What type of vacuum do you own (make/model #)? If you could tell me the make/model then I could probably help you a little better. However, if the vacuum you own cost less than $100, then unfortunately it's probably time to buy a new one. Most cheap vacuums tend to loose suction over time, and repairing them can cost almost as much as a new one. It sounds like you have purchased quite a few vacuums, and are probably tired of doing so. Unfortunately, it seems that most vacuum manufacturers now days make vacuums so they only last 3-5 years (and some even less). However, there still are some good vacuums for less than $150 (if you do need to purchase one): the Shark Navigator is a great one and comes with a 5 Year Warranty, the Eureka Airspeed Bagless is another great one that doesn't cost that much. If you want to have a vacuum that will last 20 years, then you are going to need to spend a little more money. If you can do this, then I would recommend looking at a Miele - they have some great options, and are tested to literally run for 20 years, and come with a 7 year warranty. They are expensive, but if you take into consideration the cost of 5+ cheap vacuums, then it's not that bad in the long-run. Anyways, I hope this helps. Good luck.
Q: Is your dog afraid of vacuum cleaners?
They aren't huge fans, but it's not terror or attack. They just wander off, or try to get on high ground (ie, couch, bed).
Q: Nojo king sells vacuum cleaners. Each week he earns $200 plus 8% of his sales. How much did he earn last week if his sales totaled $3200?
8 percent of $3200 plus $200
Q: I dont mean rugs, I realize they have been around for centuries. I mean wall to wall carpet, installed on the floor of a home with tack strips, not able to be easily removed to be cleaned.I am curious about specific timing, of when home vacuum cleaners became widely available, and when wall to wall carpet became popular. My mother tells me it was sometime in the 1950s.We were having a debate of whether or not the invention of the vacuum facilitated the popularity of home carpeting, (which is what I think), or if the desire for full home carpeting prompted the production and sales for home vacuum cleaners.I mean, it would make no sense to put a floor thats not easily cleaned in a home right? Therefore the vacuum must have been pretty available before the first home carpeting went in right?
The okorder / I understand that wall to wall carpeting is definitely different now than in the Middle Ages. I would still have to say that carpet wins. People liked carpet because it looked and felt nice but it got dirty. So some genius thought there has to be a better way than to throw it out. I got an idea! Looking at the history of vacuums the manual ones would have SUCKED.
Q: Can anyone give me the manufacturers contact in Malaysia pls?
Contact trade associations or to get offers from suppliers of vacuum cleaners,
Q: That's a pretty open question for venting isn't it?
People. That's the only thing I have a problem with. Individuals are fine, but when the get in a group look out. They turn into idiots.
Q: I have an Intex Ultra Frame pool with filter pump model 635 (1500 gph). Are there any affordable pool vac's that will work with my pool. I was told at the pool store that none of the hoses that come with the common on the market pool vac's will work with my pool. Even Intex makes one but the filter pump must be at least 2000 gph. Please help- I'm tired of using the garden hose type vacuum. Points for best answer!
Intex 635t
Q: What are the best vacuum cleaners on the market today? I've heard good things about the Dyson, how bout you?
Yes. The Dyson is a good model. So to is the new Electrolux with the no-bag space for dust. Plus the filters that clean themselves. I think this model is a bit cheaper than the Dyson. We have 4 dogs, and our house can get really hairy at moulting time. We have had about 3 Vacuums so far. The Dyson is a bit pricy for us. The best Vacuum we have has been the cheapest. A Sanyo- $120NZ from the warehouse.Has a removable dust bag. That's the problem with many Vacuums. The paper bags are so expensive. But so long as it sucks well, it's a personal choice. Good Luck!
Q: How do vacuum cleaners work?
The electricity operates the motor. The motor turns the fan. The fan takes air from underneath the vacuum cleaner and directs it through the dust collection bag. At the same time the brushes turn and flick up the dust/dirt into the stream of air going into the vacuum cleaner. The dust bag is a filter with small holes in it. The dust sucked into the bag is bigger than the holes so stays in the bag.
