General Information of Ceramic Fiber Blanket

Ceramic fiber blanket is a needled blanket that is made from high purity spun ceramic fiber, suitable for high temperature insulation up to 2300°F.

Ceramic fiber blanket is made from high quality Kao-Ling clay, high purity alumina and silica oxides by spun or blown process.

Ceramic fiber blanket is asbestos free. Double-side needling provides ceramic fiber blanket with great tensile or handing strength for easy installation.

Q: We purchased a house and we need to make some upgrades. My daughters room has old windows that blow cold air into her roomThey are currently covered in plastic for the winterWell one of my first things on my list of home improvements is her windowsI also wanted to remove the old vinyl siding, put up new weather proofing foam re-side it with concrete siding. Is it easier to do the windows first then siding or the other way around?Another upgrade is the basementI want to finish itBut during the summer the pipes sweat causing moisture I understand a dehumidifier would help but how can I tell where the moisture is coming from? What do I look forI don't see obvious water damage on the walls?? And I don't want to hang dry wall and in a few months notice mold!Any advice?? THANKS!
If you want to start saving money right away, check the attic insulation firstYou can rent a insulation blower or get to use it free if you buy the insulation at lowe's or Home DepotNext check for insulation in the walls - you might not have anyIf you don't then plan to do this after you rip of the old siding and before you install the newFor her windows, just carefully remove the trim pcs on the insideThen measure between the wall studs on each side of the window and from bottom sill of framing to under the window header across the topGo to home center and tell them you need either a stock replacement window that fits this rough opening (measurements you took of the existing window hole ), or if no stock window will fit, then you want to price a custom fit replacement windowYou would want to replace the windows prior to installing new sidingAs far as the basement goes - start with getting some air movement down thereGet those old basement steel sash windows so they can open once in awhile in the spring/summer/fallIt might be your ductwork that is sweating, You can wrap it with insulation as well as the cold water lines to stop the condensationMake sure your downspouts extend out away from your house 3-4' so water isn't running back toward the basement walls.

Q: I have two cats, one of them licks everything!I know there's nothing odd tasting about anything she licks. My other cat doesn't lick everything like that, it's just her.Yesterday when I was outside, she walked up and started licking the cement. And when she's inside, she'll lick chairs and the carpet, and basically just anything! She's on a good diet and eating enough foodI know she's not trying to let us know she's hungry or nutrient deprived. Is there a reason why she does this?
it might just be part of her personality maybe its a habbit? she might be having a licking fit where she licks everything and anything to prevent herself from beingsick but if shes doing it all the timeif its bothering you and causing you to become concerned notify your vet they may be able to tell you why she does this or if she has something wrong with her
Q: When we go to bed at night I often have to keep a blanket between my girlfriend and I BC she is so hot to the touchIt is as if she is radiating heat off her body like a radiator of a steam boilerIt would seem to me that it would be an uncomfortable way to spend the night, but she says it seldom bothers herWhile, not bothered by it, she does agree that her outside body temperature feels much higher than mineI am not sure if this is unhealthy or not, but it sure make for a miserable nights sleep, at least for meWe were both wondering what, if anything could be done to help her lower her outside body tempHas anyone else noticed such a thing and if so, what did you do to resolve the issue.that is, other than moving to another bed lolI will appreciate any and all input! Thanks, Mike
If I were ever faced with such a grim situation I would simply buy a new house with my pocket change
