- Honestly I don't know how to comment on this I think the way you measure accomplishments and I do are very different. Eating certain things early, is not necessarily considered gifted. - The transition should be made at the cast iron hub. Remove existing pipe / cut out at hub with a recipricating saw using a bimetal cutting blade.The lead joint must be removed in hub using saw, hammer and chisel. Once removed install a extra heavy to plastic push gasket. This gasket can be purchased at local plumbing supply for the transition to schedule 40 pvc dwv pipe.
