Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

For the size, now we have 3 series:
1. Out diameters: 16.0, 20.0, 25.4, 32.0, 40.0, 50.8, 63.5, 76.1, 88.9, 108.0 (GB/T 19228.2-2011)
2. Out diameters: 15.88, 22.22, 28.58, 34.0, 42.7, 48.6, 76.1, 88.9, 101.6 (JIS G3448-1980)
3. Out diameters: 15, 18, 22, 28, 35, 42, 54, 76.1, 88.9, 108 (EN 10312:2002)

Q: I know that computers contain toxic materials like mercury and lead, which is bad for you if you're exposed to it. A PS3 is basically a computer and I need to open it up.
The best type is the type that goes off when it's needed and saves your life:) I heard something recently about a new type that puts out a smell instead of making noise. They said in studies that it was more effective in waking people. I can't remember the name or if they are available for purchase yet.
Q: I live in a condo community and they had 3 speed bumps in the beginning of the lot, in which the first (if your coming) or the last speed bump (if your leaving) is placed on a hill so it is hard for my car to make it over with out the car studdering over the bump or I have a hard time getting over the bump slowly although if I give it too much gas my car bottoms out on it. . that was the first issue. . the second issue is now they added 3 more that are violent in the best words thats how i'll describe the new speed bumps . . Now is there any laws that state how far away each speed bump can be placed and is there a law that permits the height of the bump? Also you should know I live in Worcester, Massachusetts . .I would really like to address this issue with the condo association promptly so any laws or advice about this would be greatly appreciated. .I'm starting to be concerned with my car!! thanks
Yesterday one of the Announcers, at the Las Vegas race track, said that in these races, at certain tracks, there are some drivers that are apparently nervous before a race, [because of the track, not the racing]. He said that depending on the track there maybe many that are worried before the race starts. He went on to say that yesterday every driver at that track was concerned. The Las Vegas track wasn't made for racing Indy cars, it was built to race Nascar/ Stock Car type cars. Even at tracks where speed has been a concern in the Nascar races we all know they implemented restrictor plates to slow the cars down. I have been thinking, since the horrible crash that took Dan Wheldon's precious life, about just how much of their bodies are exposed below their helmets. I mean they have on fire suits but that is no match for all the flying debris from a fifteen car wreck, tires from other cars in the crash, and catch fences. At the speeds they were driving many of the vehicles went airborne, even going on top and across other other Indy cars. Do not know what the answer is other than when they begin to race again that they do not race at tracks that are not intended for Indy car races. However I pray that someone will find the answer, that someone will figure it out..and very, very soon. R.I.P. Dan Wheldon.May God be with your family The racing community has suffered a tremendous loss, a void that can never be replaced, only remembered and given honor in those memories.
Q: I'm doing a project where you get a shoebox and put it under sunlight or a heat lamp. What materials can I put in the box to make it heat up faster? Mainly materials I can find at home and don't have to go out and get. Also will keeping the lid on the box help it heat up faster?
My brother-in-law is a plumber, and he replaced all the galvanized lines in our house with copper pipes. According to him, galvanized pipes are the worst possible thing you can use for water lines. They sweat, they drip, they clog easily, they leak, and they often burst at the pipe joints. As for CPVC, he says you REALLY need to know what you're doing if you're going to go that route, so I strongly advise you against doing that yourself. Also, one word of warning: CPVC pipes have a much lower melting point than copper, so think twice about using CPVC near any significant heat source.
Q: Most people have seen the model of the lung with a balloon. How is this different from the actual lung itself? Also what is the advantage of the actual structure of the lungs?
It depends on the surface on which the lightning strikes, the material surrounding the impact zone (wood, mettal, plaster, etc) allso the earthing of the house.Normaly the electronics which ate plugged in will be destroyed (also dengerous if using wirelless phones on the exact moment), generaly on buildings without lightning rod's a small flame occurs at the impact zone but rapidly extinguishes.
Q: At home I opened up the wall and have to cut the copper pipes (hot and cold) with tube cutters to reroute them and reconnect them to new copper pipes. If I am not to do soldering, are compression fittings connections work just as good and reliable as soldering?
You have a lot of options. - Reflective safety vest or other clothes a jogger would wear. - Bike safety flag - Bike, car, or other reflectors or better yet, LED lights - Reflective safety tape Try to accomplish several things - Get something bright that can be seen from all angles up at the height of the typical driver (bike safety flag and/or small strobe on a pole) - Large area of light or reflective colors (white T-shirt or vest over your clothes) - Safety reflectors on all sides, ideally that move or jiggle a little (self-adhesive tape on all sides) - Actual lights when possible. (Small LED lights are available at most automotive stores). You can also consider a Slow Moving Vehicle sign on back.
Q: I am planning on doing a science project that involves dry ice and the fog that it creates. Will the fog set off smoke alarms? (I can t find any clear answers)
Maybe they lived in the Montana State University-Billings dorms for a while. The fire alarms would often go off at 3 in the morning on the worst days for weather out of the year, for reasons such as a pipe froze and dripped water on the control panel or a random glitch in the system. This would sometimes happen more than once in a night. It became nearly impossible to take the fire alarm seriously. Especially considering that in the probably 15 or more fire alarm soundings they experienced during the four years I was there, NONE of them were for an actual fire! The closest thing to an actual fire was some burnt toast in the cafeteria. No actual fire, just a thin cloud of smoke and a barely perceivable black circle on the ceiling. I can't say that I really take any fire alarm seriously after that. I take notice when I start seeing smoke.
Q: My ultimate favorite breed of horse is a Lusitano. im a HUGE dressage girl and really wants to (down the road) get a lusitano stud for dressage. yes there are plenty out there so finding one isnt the problem, neither is the price. i want a highly trained dressage horse. first of all are lusitano horses pretty hot?? and arent they known for the Roman nose?? i LOVE the ROMAN NOSE. any ways what do you think of the Lusitano?
The water supply pipes are likely enclosed in the wall. You will have to cut a big enough hole through thr plaster to work on thr pipes. You should only have to tap into the hot water suppy and waste for a dishwasher. If you encounter galvanized pipes you will need pipe cutters and possibly threading tools to tap into the pipe? Check with Home Hardware or Home Depot for possible adaptors for tapping into galvanized pipe by just drilling a hole in them and clamping on a T connector. There are many new adaptors that make working on old plumbing simpler.
Q: My friend and I covered (brushed) his rolled roofing (1 layer) with Black Jack fibered roof coating (black). His roof is flat with a 15 degree slope top to bottom. His roof had leaks and it rained 2 days before we covered the roof. The roof felt dry when we started. The temperature range has been 45-85 with some dew in the morning. It has been a couple of days and the covering is blisteringsmall blisters that just seem to contain air. Is it possible moisture from below the roof surface trying to escape? It had been dry for a month before the day of rain that preceded our project, and dry since. Is it the morning dew causing a problem? Most important, is it ruined, or can we roll out the blisters with a rubber roller or something? I'm wondering how long the coating takes to cure as well, as it seems a bit soft to walk on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yes, the pipe threads are the same However - The 40 80 refer to what water pressure the pipes and fittings are designed to handle - 40 psi 80 psi. That's why the pipe wall on sch 80 is thicker. Mixing the two is a bad idea. You'll either waste money buying heavy-duty sch 80 for a system that stays within the 40 psi limit of of the lighter pipe, or you'll waste money and time replacing the lighter parts when they blow out at the higher pressure.
Q: If there was a fire and your son who is 11 asked if he could pull the fire alarm since you were away from the fire and out of dangers way what would you say? How would you help your son to read the directions break the glass and make sure the handle is pulled correctly? If your son knew how to pull the handle but his hand slipped because of sweat would you let him pull it again or would you go ahead and pull it together. For breaking the glass would you tell your son how to hold the hammer or kick the glass? Sometimes it is hard to break the glass with the hammer so how would you give instructions on how to break the glass?
Look like a pair of 6.5 tubes. If there is only ONE connection for a pair of wires, they are passive. The powered ones usually have a harness coming off of them, or a place to put a harness.
Q: my work blocked myspace!! how do i get on
An over-pressurized vessel with domed heads will usually fail by a split along the side. The shape of the split can vary and the horizontal or vertical trajectory is unpredictable. A vessel with flat heads will fail with a split in the head and the trajectory can be expected to be vertical with a bottom failure. Again the trajectory is unpredictable, but not a much. The failure is not because of the pipe fittings. They actually provide localized reniforcement. The weakness problem is due to the flat shape of the end of the vessel. In either case the odds are 100% that it will go somehow upward and not down. The real danger is not the trajectory of the vessel. If within a house it probably is not going to go very far before it is empty. The real danger is the huge amount of suddenly released, superheated steam which has indeed exploded houses and killed occupants.
