Q: I just bought a Canon 50D, and i've heard from many people on how long the first charge should be. I'm confused but do not want to try and end up spoiling the battery. Can somebody advise how long should the battery be charged for the first time?I've heard people telling me 2hrs is enough but some tell me its too short and you'll undercharge the battery.Others say you have to charge for at least 12 hours. Will this overcharge the battery and shorten its lifespan? Please help me!
first time, 2nd time, 100th time, it doesn't make a difference, you have to charge the battery until it is FULL. you will when its full by an indicator on the charger, usually a green light. the important thing for you to know about batteries is that you should ALWAYS use them in a full cycle in order for them to stay healthy. a full cycle means charging the battery to its full capacity, then using them until they completely de-charge, then recharge them again. for example, if you you use a fully charged battery to say 50% of it capacity, then charge for 30 minutes to 80%, then use it until 20% then again charge it to 50% and so on, you will wear out that battery in 4-6 months, but if you complete a full cycle EVERY time, I guarantee your battery will last at least 3 years. and remember, if you want to store your camera away and not use it for 1 month or more, de-charge the battery to about 20-30% of its capacity, not using a full battery for over a month will decrease its normal life.
Q: I want to buy an external battery pack for my iPhone 4 and I see that there are many different levels to choose from. I see packs with 1000mAh, 1800mAh, 1900mAh and so on up to 5000+mAh. My question is what difference does the mAh make in a battery pack? Is it the amount of charge it gives the phone? Is it the length of time it takes to charge? I want to be more educated before I make a purchase.
Nnnnn Ggggg is right. i prefer a larger one, thus i can charge my phone foe more times. so convenient.
Q: I just bought a Canon Rebel 300D off OKorder and it came with 2 of the rechargeable battery pack things. I've gone through both already tonight and haven't taken the life expectancy of 400 shots. I was wondering if you can use AA batteries in them?
No, it takes only the rechargeable battery packs, AA batteries won't work. Be sure to recharge the batteries to full capacity, probably 4-6 hours. If you're still not getting the expected number of shots per battery, replace the batteries with new ones.
Q: I just bought the rechargeable battery pack for the xbox 360 wireless controllers.(only one, not with charger). Once i inserted it into two of my wireless controllers, it never turned on.Does the battery pack need to be charged even though i just bought it?points to whoever has the solution
For any rechargeable batter, you must charge it before using it. This is because rechargeable batteries have a sort of memory in them. That's why you also have to wear rechargeable batteries all the way before you charge them to get the most out of them.
Q: for my labtop and xbox controllers the battery packs are not working. the work but even if u touch the bettery pack or anywere around it the device shuts off any help plz?
I do not really have an answer but i have experienced the same problem with my xbox controllers. If the controller is shaken at all, or touched in a certain spot, then it will say xbox controller disconnectedd so you have to push the battery pack back and continue on. The only thing ive done to try and fix the problem is using tape to tightly secure the battery pack against the controller, and for the most part, it works, but it can get annoying.
Q: I have the battery pack for this phone, but it doesn't say in the directions if you're supposed to take off the layer of plastic wrap that covers all but the ends of the batteries. There is a small plug-in that goes from the battery pack to the phone, so the batteries don't actually have to make contact with anything other than that.We live in a town with a volunteer fire department, so I really want to get this right! :)
Look at the voltage of the battery pack, it's probably 3.7. I've never heard of a phone burning up unless it takes a lightning hit. The plastic should stay on, it's protection from the battery leaking. You won't start a fire.
Q: do they have there own battery pack or do they take like AA or AAA or whatever
2 AA, theres also a Rechareable Battery pack for them you can get.
Q: i spent so much buying rechargeable batteries for my player (4 pcs size AA). i cannot wait charging the batteries especially when i am on the go. i want a portable battery pack which i can take along when i go out. my player requires only 9v. playing video at long hours easily consumes the charge that's why i am looking for a battery pack which lasts longer.
Battery packs are usually built in but an adapter to work on 120vac or 12vdc just plug in. You can DIY a battery pack to work at the adapter plug in.
Q: . I could not pick it up for 6 weeks and it sat idle, Just received it and the IMA battery level is at only 5 lines near the bottom of the gauge. I a still not able to register it for another week.have i damaged the IMA battery?. Also does the IMA battery charge while car is idling?. I tried that for an hour, with no change on the gauge. I did take a chance and drove it around the block once, and the top left gauge indicated it was charging, but no change on the IMA side(it was about 1/2 mile. Also note while sitting the weather averaged 27-35 degrees for almost the whole month.
hold the rpm at 3000 for 5 minutes and the battery gauge should show full charge, a 13 year old ima battery is most likely going to be bad, they usually last 6-8 years.
Q: Hey everybody, thanks for any responses. My laptop recently stopped working. It's some sort of battery problem. The problem is, I don't know whether it is with the battery pack or battery charger. I was wondering if there was some way to tell which one???It's out of warranty and the manufacturer wanted to charge me $35 for troubleshooting or drive 85 miles to troubleshoot at one of their locations. Thanks
are you able to no longer get Nickel-steel hydride (NiMH) Nicad's have a 'memory consequence' (no longer stable) according to possibility 6hours if its in basic terms trickle charging. Does the charger no longer swap-off immediately.
