Q:I got a new faucet with sink and the faucet is not positioned over the drain, also water cloudy. Kindly advise...: your faucet does not need to be over your drain they can be anywhere you would like them. As for cloudy water could be something in your pipes or water system. It should clear back up after have had the water back on for while.

Q:These appear to be made such that one could turn it by hand. Unfortunately these are so tight I can't budge them. If not, what tool does one use for this?: I replace a lot of faucets in my handiman business and after fighting these things day in and day out I finally designed a tool that I made in my shop at home that works like a charm. It's a piece of 1" x 12" galvanized steel pipe. On one end I cut 2 sets of notches in the sides directly across from one another with a hacksaw, then knocked the small pieces out, leaving what looks like the top of a chess rook. The 1" pipe opening is big enough to slide over the brass threaded shank that the nut screws onto and the four teeth grab the four tabs on the nylon nut. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the opposite end, through both sides for the shank of a screwdriver. Works like a charm and saves the knuckles and a lot of cuss words.

Q:hey guys, im replacing a kitchen faucet for my mom right now, and Its not one of the ones where it scres in on the two side panels, it has a long threaded neck that attatches to the sink basin, how would I take this out, I tried spinning the faucet to just unscrew the threading but it pivots...: Faucets that I'm familiar with sit on top of the sink and are bolted down below the sink. You have to loosen nuts under the sink from the threaded water supply lines on the bottom of the faucet unit, then lift the entire unit out from the sink. That leaves holes in the sink. Threaded water supply lines on the bottom of the faucet fit through those holes and water lines from your house's water supply are attached to those. But the handles, neck, the whole shooting match is one unit.

Q:I am trying to replace my kitchen faucet. I have done this before, but never at this house. I can not for the life of me get the old faucet out of there. The nuts are too old and rusted, I have tried a high quality penetrating oil, that didn't seem to work. I am also not too comfortable using a torch, so that's out of the question.
