My daughter being fearfull that she didn't want the faucet to drip has now turned the cold lever all the way back until now the handle rotates without shuting the water off. Take the whole sink off the vanity and tackle it that way. It is pretty tough sometimes to get the necessary leverage when trying to access everything from underneath. Might be a bit more labor intensive but it will certainly save you some busted knuckles and bruises on your head.
