- Q: As a struggling single mom, I have been making my house more energy efficient. I have started putting blocks around the base of my house, started changing light bulbs, only using necessary ones, using a heating blanket, switched my dryer to exhaust into the house, rather than outside, using a fireplace instead of the furnace, unplugging electronics when not in use, and weather proofing windows and doors. I know there are more ways to save, but can‘t think of any.
- Use a low power bulb Mine is 18 watts for the whole house but other rooms have lights on when I am in them at night. Don't really need them much in the day. Your eyes get used to it. Wear insulating underwear or warm cloths inside. I am used to 50 to 60 degrees with no problem especially at night even without warm cloths. In stead of a heating blanket, get a very warm comforter or do like i do and use a sleeping bag as a cover. I hang wet cloths in the shower and let dry a while before using the dryer. I wash some things by hand. Use a pressure cooker and it can cook better faster and cheaper. Use the oven only occasionally and in the morning when the heat makes the most differences. . My power bill is about 20 bucks but southern Cal. doesn't really require heat. It is just requires wearing something warm or using a blanket if you aren't active.

- I'd go with the white resin. I've had this used in my teeth and you can't tell it's there. I've never had the fillings come out either and it's been YEARS. Yes, the silver will last longer, but she's going to loose the teeth anyway some day.I know I wouldn't want to look into my toddlers mouth and see silver. Personal preference. Good luck choosing. - 1. Flat head Screwdriver 2. Staple Gun 3. 3/8' and 1/2 staples for that gun 4. small pliers (needle nose or regular ones) 5. Enough fabric to cover the chairs plus at least 3 for under the seat to attach it(You will cut off any excessyes waste, but if you do it too shortthe first timeyou waste time, and more fabric correcting the mistake 6. quilt batting (this will go over the existing cushion and the decorator or outer fabric will hold to it and this provides more cushion and bulk and prevents slipping of the Top fabric, also helps to cover the hard corners to prevent holes in the outer fabric. (Has many uses) The outer fabric will hide this as you cut this just big enough to cover the top, sides and maybe 1 1/2 for underneath the cushion. I have recovered my chairs with only a flat head screwdriver (to pull off or loosen the staples holding the present fabric) Needle nose pliers to pull out the staples. A good staple gun (not a NAIL gun) staples about 3/8' to 1/2 and this depends on the type of chair. I would get both to save a trip to the Hardware store later.And the other things I mentioned aboveI hope I didn't leave anything outI dont think so(2 weekends ago I completely re-did 2 patio chairs seat and the back with new wood, Foam, Fabric, and covered them in clear Vinyl.They look great Good Luckit isn't hard..just take your time and measure 2-3 times writing down the measurements, and don't forget to add the underneath amount.

- Yes, Religious Organizations could be exempt if they are self-iinsured but if they contract an organization like Blue Cross - Blue Shield, Cigna, Aflac or any other Health Insurance provider they can not require that birth control; be excluded from their plan. Personally, I am all for birth control. Unwanted pregnancy leads to so many other social problems that we pay the tab for that I am convinced that birth control would be cheaper but I certainly would not require that a religious organization violate its denominational dogma and force them to provide or fund birth control. If Obama care isn't repealed it will be a moot point because we will have socialized medicine, rationed availability and end-of-life treatment decided by big brother and whether religious or just private industry your decisions on health-care insurance will be irrelevant. Small businesses that can neither afford health-care insurance or to pay the fines enforced by the IRS agents will go out of business and unemployment will go rampant and medicare will go broke and the spiral into socialized hell will leave no American unscathed.
