- Q: Another from the ministry of silly questions…I’d like to support a lightweight tarpaulin over my back yard. Single slope, high side attached to the house and low side attached to a scaffolding pole, running horizontally between two walls. Fair weather, no high winds or pooling. The run of pole would be 8 meters. The longest poles seem to be 6m, so I need to use a coupling. Will this be strong enough – ish? I imagine the most stressed point would be just around the edges of the coupling, so If I used two joints/couplings in the bar, wouldn’t I half the strain on a single one? Also if I made the joints at 1m and 7m would that be better than to have a joint in the middle where the most flexing will be?Also bit more expensive, but with Aluminium the bar will be 20kg lighter – buy will it be as strong joint wise? Will a tubular coupling be as good as a external one?If anyone knows.. Thanks!
- The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.
- Q: I Got It On The 16th Of Feb This Year, I'm 14 Year's Old, So Don't Laugh, Okay I Can't Unscrew The Ball Things And How Long Does It Take To Heal Fully? __Ciara-Chemical__
- Thats an awesome piercing, nice job! I'm not laughing about being unable to unscrew it - I have a piercing in my pinna I've never been able to get out - had it for like 6 months. What I will say it that you shouldn't be taking it out yet really anyway. If you wash it in sea-salt and warm water once a day it should be almost totally healed in 8 weeks, which is still about two weeks away if you got it on the 16th Feb. Even then for the first 6 months or so it'll close pretty quickly (not in like an hour or anything, but it could get tighter in as little as 3 or 4 hours), so you should try to leave it in all the time for that 6 month period.
- Q: I think THAT would be entertaining.
- WWE has no experience in doing scaffold matches. WWE has no interest in hiring New Jack. WWE has no interest in having John Cena and Randy Orton injured and out for months. WWE has already been without The Big Show, Kane, Michelle McCool, The Undertaker, Layla El and Golddust because of injuries. Scaffold Matches were interesting in The NWA in 1986 and 1987, they haven't been interesting for me since then. New Jack, John Cena and Randy Orton are not The Road Warriors, The Rock n' Roll Express or The Midnight Express.
- Q: i really want this piercing but i am a wimp with pain lolbut 2 of my friends have got i one said it was sore and onesaid it wasnt and im getting it tomorrow
- Scaffolding Peircing
- Q: I've pierced my ears a few times myself, but never through the cartilage.I want to know from anyone who has a scaffold piercing, if it hurts?Cause I'm getting it done in 25 days. Thanks in advance x
- i just got mine dona two days ago. it hurt when the needle went through, and was a little sore for a couple hours afterward. but it doesn't hurt at all anymore. i think it was worth it. i'd say the overall pain was about a 6 out of 10. 10 being the highest.
- Q: is scaffolding a trade that i could emigrate to australia with?
- I'm not sure about the immigration regulations, but there's plenty of work for scaffolders, riggers, plant operators etc. Good money too! (maybe look at an allied trade to mark in the box on the forms, as there's definately a skill shortage in Oz.)
- Q: scaffolding in spanish?
- Andamio or plataforma, both are correct.
- Q: Ok, so I'm getting a industrial/scaffolding piercing tomorrow and I'm just wandering which ear I should get pierced?I sleep on my left ear;I have I side fridge that goes over my right eye. Also I know the right ear is more popular, is there a particular reason for this? Also how much pain should I be expecting?Thankksss..
- i in my opinion might pass with the contacts. Contacts make existence plenty much less complicated than donning glasses. business piercings are notoriously complicated to heal. maximum places will pierce you with the long barbell while truly they should pierce you with 2 separate and shorter barbells with a view to cut back tugging on the jewellery. Plus, your hair with all its oils/hair products gets in it, and it particularly is cartilage, that's consistently complicated to pierce and heal. maximum individuals i be conscious of that have this piercing have grotesque hypertrophic scarring to pass with it. So I say, get your contacts now, wait and get a piercing later.
- Q: Hi im thinking of buying some Industrial Jewelry online but im not sure about the measurements. My recipt for my piercing says a 14g 1/4 barbell was used.
- From what I see on the site, pick the 14GA 11/4 option since it's long enough to go through the top of your ear. Seems there was a little typo on the receipt your piercer gave you. The mm measurements next to each of the sizing options refer to the diameter of the balls on either side. Hope that helped!
- Q: I recently had a scaffold piercing. It seems to be healing well, however it is still sore.My body tends to reject piercings, so is there anything I can do to help it heal?I am currently using saline solution taking vitamins.
- your body wont reject it cuz its cartilage and it wont reject. its just sore becuase you just go a while ago so it will hurt of a couple of weeks
