- Q: I'm 14 and getting my scaffold pierced soon. I am terrible with nerves and pain. I had a panic attack getting my doubles pierced. To calm my nerves, can you tell me what to expect?
- I've passed out getting shots before! Almost to the point where I had a seizure. And I got mine done, and I thought I was going to pass out again! But my lady was really nice. It really doesn't feel like anything more than a lobe piercing, but you feel a bit of a pinch the second time it goes through. Nothing more! You'll be fine. Ask if you can hang around for a bit after to make sure you're okay! Good luck. Just take a deep breath in, then let it out as the needle goes through. Good luck!
- Q: Another from the ministry of silly questions…I’d like to support a lightweight tarpaulin over my back yard. Single slope, high side attached to the house and low side attached to a scaffolding pole, running horizontally between two walls. Fair weather, no high winds or pooling. The run of pole would be 8 meters. The longest poles seem to be 6m, so I need to use a coupling. Will this be strong enough – ish? I imagine the most stressed point would be just around the edges of the coupling, so If I used two joints/couplings in the bar, wouldn’t I half the strain on a single one? Also if I made the joints at 1m and 7m would that be better than to have a joint in the middle where the most flexing will be?Also bit more expensive, but with Aluminium the bar will be 20kg lighter – buy will it be as strong joint wise? Will a tubular coupling be as good as a external one?If anyone knows.. Thanks!
- The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.
- Q: My current bar, my first ever bar, is about 43mm long, but it has a large gap from my ear to the balls, either side (1/2 cm each side)What length(mm) bar should I get now?
- There is no way to know, everyone's ear is a different size so length of the bar is going to vary from person to person. Go to another piercer to have them fit jewelry to you.
- Q: What do people think of scaffold piercings on guys? thinking of getting one?
- Also Industrial.....they can look cool on a guy - just get the right thing put in - the piercer can certainly make a recommendation. I think they look best when there are other unique piercings as well like crossed industrials with a tragus and a couple lobe piercings.
- Q: Was it painful? How much did it cost you?
- Mine wasn't too painful at all. It cost me $25, which was really stupid of me because good skill and good jewelery for a scaffold should be $35+ Though, i don't recommend a scaffold, a diagonal industrial or industrial would be better because the cartilage closest to the head is so completely unstructured that many people who have had it done have had it ripped out of that area with the slightest pull, including myself.
- Q: Now there are oblique cast-in-place concrete beam bridge with oblique oblique do not know whether the bowl buckle scaffold or plug type scaffold can freely adjust the angle of skew, plug type scaffolding steel pipe is also 60cm, 90cm a root length
- Bowl buckle scaffold connection must be 90 degrees
- Q: i have an industrial piercing but the top piercing(scaffold) has a bump on it making it hard to find the hole to put other jewerly in besides the bar. how do i get rid of the bump?
- just clean your piercing with rubbing alcohol
- Q: Can a guardrail on a scaffold be used as an access point?
- No NEVER! It is a breach of Health and Safety regulations.
- Q: Normally scaffolding platforms are for climbing working safely at heights more than 2 m and are erected by approved scaffolders and inspected safe for use . so why should one need safety harness a mandatory PPE?I See it as a only a proactive approach but is there a international standard which specifies it as a mandatory ppe?
- Navy blue feathers.
- Q: Please give me the name and link to the photo of it. Thanks!
- *Bamboo is the common-most as cheap and easily available but it is not as per the standard.
