Physical Characteristics

(1) with a brittle

(2) has a pyroelectric

(3) the refractive index of 1.533 ~ 1.541, 0.009 difference in birefringence dispersion 0.013

(4) has a strong piezoelectric quartz (Piezoelectric property), that is, will produce sparks when struck friction force, which is the method of flint to make fire.

(5) Common quartz inclusions are: the crystal (Hair crystal) - mainly rutile; grass into the crystal - mainly tourmaline; water bile crystal - liquid inclusions in quartz; green quartz - containing blue rutile needles; milk quartz - causes cloudy water from the fine pores; green quartz - by plate-shaped chlorite or debris may sometimes be green needles of actinolite; Aventurine (Aventurine) - quartzite green or reddish-brown interior contains fine mica sheets, also known as Yao quartz, commonly known as Aventurine. Frequently Smoke black to dark brown smoky quartz, mainly because these rocks contain large amounts of radioactivity have relations uranium, thorium elements.

Material property characteristics

1, scraping not spend

Quartz content of up to 94% of its quartz, quartz is the nature of natural mineral hardness only to diamond, high surface hardness of Ta Mok's hardness 7.5, much larger than the kitchen knife used shovels and other weapon, is not it scratch injuries.

2, do not pollute

Quartz is manufactured under vacuum Biaoliruyi, dense non-porous composite material quartz surface pH of the kitchen has an excellent corrosion resistance, daily use liquid substances do not penetrate the interior, long placed simply liquid surface clean and bright with water or other cleaning agents can be erased with a cloth that can be used to scrape the surface of the blade retentate when necessary.

3, with no old

Dan Guangze bright quartz surface is the result of more than 30 channels of complex polishing treatment process will not be scratching knife blade will not penetrate a liquid substance, no yellowing and discoloration and other problems, routine cleaning simply rinse with water can be, easy. Even after prolonged use, the surfaces like countertops with beautiful new clothes, no maintenance and upkeep.

4, fuel vain

Natural crystalline quartz is typically refractory, its melting point up to 1300 degrees, quartz completely flame made of 94% natural quartz, are not caused by exposure to high temperature combustion, but also with artificial stone countertops unmatched high temperature characteristics.

5, non-toxic and non-radiation

Quartz stone surface is smooth, flat and no scratches retention, dense non-porous material structure allows bacteria nowhere to hide, can be in direct contact with food, safe non-toxic!

Quality quartz crystallization using a selection of natural quartz mineral, its content of more than 99.9% SiO2 and miscellaneous manufacturing process to purify the raw material does not contain any heavy metal impurities may lead to radiation, 94% quartz crystals and other the resin additive makes quartz is no danger of radiation contamination.

Q: How can you tell between quart and a crystal? Because i found one but I don't know if it is a quart or crystal.
Quartz would have vitreous luster and coinchoidal fracture (breaks like glass or a seashell) No cleavage You can scratch a nail with it (quartz has a hardness of 7) Quartz will leave a white streak
Q: Is a large clear quartz that indians chip making arrow-heads? clear as glass?
You have listed the names of naturally occurring chemical compounds called minerals. You can actually find these by using Google or a website like this: Then you'll find out that calcite is calcium carbonate, CaCO3, corundum is aluminum oxide, Al2O3 and quartz is silicon dioxide, SiO2.
Q: I found these and I am pretty sure the stone is Rose Quartz but the beads are not?
Quartz is primarily oxides of silicon. Nobody in particular discovered it because it is the most common mineral on earth. That is, every bit of sand you see is primarily quartz.
Q: I?ve found a little stone, clear, like a raw quartz or raw diamond, How i know the differences? how can i test that? or be so sure that is quartz?thanks
I can't help you with the quartz aspect I'm afraid, but it seems to be little known today that uranium nitrate crystals alsio exhibit triboluminescence. Assuming quartz is similar, the light emitted is pretty faint and you must be in a darkened room with you eyes adjusted to see it. Having said that, I've shaken uranium nitrate crystals in a darkroom many times and seen the yellowy light. Because it is so faint, taking a picture would be pretty difficult, even with a modern digital camera. Hope this is of interest!
Q: What type of healing can you get by combining Tiger's Eye and Rose Quartz crystals?
Time Atac pedals are some of the most popular mtb pedals on the market. I've never read a poor review about them. The Look Quartz is much newer. From what I've seen they have gotten a bit of a mixed review. For my part I've always been partial to Shimano mtb pedals. Hope this helps.
Q: It's a hw question, and I need help on this! Thank you! :)

Q: What are some of the structural differences between quartz and amorphous SiO-2?
There have been rose quartz beads found in the region of mesopotamia that date back 7,000 years.
Q: Does Phantom quartz ever come in a grey or silver colour? and where online I could buy a faceted round-shaped Phantom Quartz maybe in a grey or silver color?
I absolutly would have to say the granite. It is more stain resistant than quartz. Quartz is more likely to soak up wine, or jelly faster than granite, if the granite does at all. Granite is harder and just more durable, but of course, more expensive. But it adds value to your home and when it comes time to sell it is considered an upgrade. I haven't ran across to many quartz countertops.
Q: Method for using quartz stone polishing agent
In the corner and polishing machine can not be polished to a corner, with a clean cloth can be directly coated with polishing wax to wipe back and forth.
Q: I found a large (about 1 inch long) perfectly transparent quartz crystal in Colorado. The crystal has a flat, crystal-like shard of silvery metal inside of it, like almost dead center. Does anyone know what kind of metal this would be? I know some crystals typically grow on a specific type of rock; does this also apply to metals? also, it this particularly rare?
Amethyst is a variety of quartz (chemical formula SiO2). In amethyst, the chromophore is iron, in the form of dissolved iron in its ferric (Fe+3) state. For the past 30-40 years it was assumed that rutile TiO2 inclusions are the cause. It has been recently suggested that fibrous inclusions of the mineral dumortierite (Al,Fe)7 [O3 | BO3 | (SiO4)3] are responsible for the haze and color of rose quartz. This first sounds like an odd suggestion, as dumortierite is often deeply blue (even the color of its streak), but there are pink variants. Citrine has ferric impurities, and is rarely found naturally. Brazil is the leading producer of citrine, with much of its production coming from the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The name is derived from Latin citrina which means yellow and is also the origin of the word citron.
