Clear round quartz plate have the features of high purity, heat resistance and low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Clear round quartz plates quartz disc:

Quartz plates, SiO2≥99.99%. The quartz plates have the features of high purity, heat resistance and low coefficient of thermal expansion. It is transparent with good transmittance of visible light(>90%).

Specifications: length 10-1200mm, Width 10-800mm, thickness1-40mm.

The quartz plates are widely used in the fields including semiconductor, light sources, communication devices, laser instruments, optic instruments, lab instruments, electricity devices, metallurgy, medical and chemical instruments, building material, defense industry and so on.

Q:Is quartz a semiconductor
Feldspar is more opaque, and the surfaces have fine striations. Quartz surfaces are smooth.
Q:What do the strong bonds in quartz mean in terms of melting point?

Q:I found this awesome rock full of quartz but it is also half limestone.

Q:i cant find this any where please help
It can also be found mixed in with jasper and other sedimentary rocks then solidified. Basically, quartz conglomerate can be found anywhere there are quartz sediments...so that 90% of the world. lol. As an example. I have a rock specimen that i picked up from a mountain road here in MT. The rock in the way so I just threw it into my truck and later cut it in half. Inside it is a red jasper w/some lava and quartz and agate veins running through it. I use the rock halves as book shelf stoppers now. Quartz has many faces and depending on where and what the formation is, the price tag will reflect it. The college of technology, MT Tech, has a mineral museum that just bought a smoky quartz crystal cluster from a guy for $40,000 last summer - the Rheanna Star. Here is also another neat fact that you can amaze your student peers and teachers with. Smoky quartz crystals are unique in their own. The darkness in the crystal is the reaction of it being around radiation exposure over time. So, the longer a smoky quartz crystal is exposed to and the higher amounts of radiation, the darker the smoky quartz crystal is. To remove the darkness, by placing a crystal into a oven, the radiation will be cooked out and the crystal will turn clear. So if you find a smoky quartz conglomerate, then it has been exposed to radiation. As a 3rd grade student, you should ponder this as a hobby. It actually is a fun hobby and can really get you outside and having some fun. Rockhounding is a hobby that brings one to the outdoors and into the dirt, literally. If you are interested in it, search around for you nearest mineral gem club and have your mom/dad attend a meeting with you. For mostly the clubs around here in MT are people who are retired, grandparents, and the younger are usually school teachers. It truly is a fun experience if you have the interest. So if it all interests you, check it out more. Good Luck.
Q:what happens when u find quartz, gold and granite together?
They do have the color and translucence of rose quartz, but I can't say for certain from a picture. They could also be glass or some kind of plastic.
Q:On the clock I found the word 'QUARTZ'.I heard that it have something to do with clock. Can any one tell me what it is and what does it do?And how does it help clock working?
the quartz is eroded into large pieces, which is then cemented together to form a conglomerate the conglomerate is then exposed to heat and pressure which then alters the rock
Q:i am looking to find out how quartz is formed so i can pass my school assignment so if you know please let ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q:i bought a mac second hand with final cut pre installed but everytime i go to start FC, it tells me the card i have now is not quartz capable. i bought a new AGP graphics card (radeon, 512mb) and i'm not sure if it's quot;quartz capablequot;.

Q:what is rose quartz used for?
Quartzone
Q:I'm trying to lay out the budget for my kitchen and just need a generic estimate. Looking for midgrade material.
These materials are really two different things, so how can one be more or less pure than the other? Is an apple more pure than an acorn? Is there is something else you mean by the term pure? Here is how wiki defines Jade (in part): Nephrite is a variety of the calcium and magnesium rich amphibole mineral actinolite. The chemical formula for nephrite is Ca2(Mg,Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2. Quartz, on the other hand, is mostly simple silicon dioxide (SiO2). A clear crystal of quartz can be VERY pure silicate. White quartz (sometimes called milky or snow quartz) is probably less pure, because of all the inclusions that cause the milkiness, but it's still pretty pure SiO2. The clear crystalline form is more pure silicate because it crystallized slower when it was formed. Generally speaking, slower crystallization leads to more pure chemical composition. So I suppose, from this point of view, quartz is usually more pure than jade, because it contains a higher percentage of one chemical, when compared the the whole chemical composition of the particular stone. Just keep in mind that we are talking about two different chemicals (quartz vs jade), so the question of purity is tough to even define, let alone answer. Hope this helps!
