Q:Im a wimp for pain and im looking to get my scaffolding done. i want to know how painful it isI already have both lobs pierced and stretched to an 8mm, will the pain be similar to that?: You sound like you have a low tolerance for pain if you say you're a wimp haha, which means yeah it'll probably hurt you. It'll hurt more than the lobes because it's cartilage, and for the same reason you'll hear a popping noise as the hole is made. You won't be taken over by deathly pain or anything like that, it'll probably be sensitive for a few days after too so careful not to knock it against anyone/ anything. But if you want it bad enough, the pain will be bearable.

Q:I really want to get one done and I would like it if someone could tell me how badly does it really hurt? During and after. I know everybody has different pain thresholds but on average? I'm just nervous to get it done but really want another piercing on my ears. I have my lobes and a cartilage on my right ear. How easy is it to clean? rate in numbers as well as a description. Thanks.: my experience was easy and fast. it was the next day waking up that kills you! keep in mind that its thick cartilage, but it is really worth it. you'll get used to it by like day 3 or 4 but and tug or pull will remind you of the pain. i recommend it!

Q:I got an industrial/scaffold piercing a few months ago and currently have captive bead rings in (The piercer put those in after he pierced it). The piercings are now healed enough for me to change the piercing, and I found an industrial bar on ebay which I'd really like to order. Only problem is, it has two choices on the gauge thickness and length, and I don't know which mine is.The gauge sizes available are 1.2mm (16g) or 1.6mm (14g) , and the length options are 32mm, 35mm, 38mm.Does anyone know which would be the best to get? And before you say it I am aware that there are risks as there are risks with any piercing. so I'm 17 from London and wondering:How old do you have to be to get it done?Does anyone know a reputable place i can get it done?How much will it be?any experiences to share?: I haven't had this piercing but i was thinking of getting one i do have an eyebrow ring and seven earrings in each ear and i use to have a tongue ring, your piercing cartilidge so it is going to sting shouldnt be too bad though for me my most painful piercing was my fourth earring hurt after that it wasnt too bad my seventh was a breeze i knew how to take care of it so that it would heal fast and not get infected. you have to daily sometimes twice a day clean it otherwise it gets infected and its been my exerpience that they get infected easy. the healing time for when you pierce cartilidge is twice that of when you pierce your lobe so about 8-12 weeks give or take as far as i know you have to be 18 to get one if your in the US (or 17 with parental consent) not sure what the age would be over in London as for reputable place most tatto parlors do piercings look for a clean place that sterlizes everything very important (again going on US standards) as for the cost not sure was 10 dollars for ear piercing at wal mart but for this kind of ear piercing i would guess 20-30 dollars cause its at leadt 50 for a eyebrow or tongue ring i know that. i hope this helps good luck
