Q: How are plastic tubes measured and specified?
Plastic tubes are typically measured and specified based on their outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), and wall thickness. These measurements are crucial in determining the tube's size, strength, and suitability for specific applications. Additionally, other specifications such as the material composition, maximum operating temperature, and pressure rating may be provided to ensure the tube meets the desired requirements.
Q: How do you prevent plastic tubes from becoming brittle in cold weather?
One way to prevent plastic tubes from becoming brittle in cold weather is by using materials with higher flexibility and impact resistance, such as PVC or polyethylene. Additionally, insulating the tubes or providing them with protective covers can help maintain a more stable temperature and prevent extreme cold exposure.
Q: I have a 16 month old girl who has her first ear infection now. She has it in both ears and still has it even after her medicine was done. We have an appointment with an ear, nose and throat specialist for this Thursday, and I will be asking him the following questions.. But I also wanted to hear from people that went through this with their child. I understand that ear tubes probably won't be necessary because this is her first time with an ear infection. What exactly are ear tubes? How are they put in? What are the pros and cons of having them? I have heard that in the long run, they can cause more damage than good. And how did you soothe your little one while they were having difficulty sleeping at night? Thanks!!
I have 4 children, 2 of mine had ear infections at least 6 times before age 2yrs and never got tubes in their ears. There are certain things that contribute to ear infections. Does your daughter drink fluids when laying down? If she has to go to bed with a cup you will want to prop her mattress up using pillows or a comforter. Just enough so she isn't laying flat, but not trying to sleep sitting up either. Does she take in a lot of Dairy products? You can try soy milk instead of cows milk. Veggie cheese instead of dairy cheese. Organic yogurt instead of dairy. These can be found more affordable at your local farmers market. Wal-mart and grocery stores tend to be a little more expensive. Also, when you wash her hair you can try putting cotton balls in her ears, just don't push them deep inside so you will be able to get them back out easily. Prevention is where I think you will benefit from your line of questioning for the doctor! More than likely they will give you some drops to put in her ears since the anti-biotic didn't cure the problem. Best of luck. Take care
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to UV discoloration?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to UV discoloration. They are designed to withstand exposure to sunlight and other environmental factors without fading or discoloring.
Q: The babies are 5 days old and we haven't touched them yet. I read that the plastic tubes were bad for the babies ventilation but im afraid if we move them that she will eat them. She built the nest in one of the circles that stands upright. what do i do?
let her be a momma :) i learned the hard way from a similar situation that mice do infact eat their babies if they come in contact with humans. she will most likely move them soon, but if you are still concerned, get some clean rubber disposable gloves and put them on. next rub your hands in the mouse's bedding (sort of wash your hands in it) and then gently pick up each baby and set it in another corner. if momma moves them back let them be. if you are very worried just call a vet for advice. if they ask you to bring them in for examination, don't do it, they will charge you $50 to tell you the things i just did
Q: How do plastic tubes compare to metal tubes in terms of strength and durability?
Plastic tubes generally have lower strength and durability compared to metal tubes. Metal tubes are known for their superior strength and ability to withstand heavy loads, high pressures, and extreme temperatures. They are highly resistant to bending, breaking, and deformation. On the other hand, plastic tubes are more prone to cracking, breaking, and being deformed under stress. While plastic tubes may be suitable for lighter applications, metal tubes are preferred when strength and durability are critical factors.
Q: Im making moonshine but not for drinking for fuel. I know that its a bad idea to distill with plastic if your gonna drink it but will it be ok for fuel?
Yeah, that's fine.
Q: What is the maximum pressure plastic tubes can handle?
The maximum pressure that plastic tubes can handle varies depending on the specific type and quality of the plastic, as well as factors such as diameter and wall thickness. Generally, plastic tubes can handle pressures ranging from a few hundred to several thousand pounds per square inch (psi). It is recommended to consult the manufacturer's specifications or conduct pressure testing to determine the maximum pressure capacity for a particular plastic tube.
Q: i wanna breed them i have a female in a 15 qt tub and im worried she will chew through it after seeing some question on here about that being answered that they will chew through it but when i look on youtube i see people breeding them in plastic tubes and stuff so whats the deal i figured if they do why would these breeders use them can somebody plz hlp or have any suggestions
Mice generally won't chew through plastic unless they have nothing else to chew. Just provide a (safe) piece of wood, or something similar, and they'll be fine! Please don't breed them unless you: -know that the mouse is the correct age -know that the mouse doesn't have any health issues -have GOOD homes for the 20+ babies, ie. only sell them IF the buyers are good with pets and they know how to look after mice -are prepared for the high possibility that the mum will die, and that some (or possibly all) of the babies will die too -know exactly how to breed them (do LOADS of research first).
Q: And does Bon Jovi use it in songs such as Livin' On a Prayer? B/c is sounds like it.
It is called a talk box, the company heil makes the original one that peter frampton used in the 70's, it is a pain to hook up. there is a fairly newer one on the market called a banshee talk box, basically there is a speaker in the box on the floor it puts out your guitar up thru the plastic tube, when you put your mouth on it. you can manipulate the sound and it is picked up by the microphone.
