- Q: i recently got started with oil paint, and some of my tubes are leaking quite a bit. i seal the cap well, and there are no holes or anything in the tubes. i read that putting the tubes under extreme heat or sunlight can cause them to leak, but i do neither of these things.how do you prevent/solve this?
- Leaking okorder /... Both of these prevent the dreaded twist and crack that can open up a hole where paint can both leak and be exposed to air. Also treat the caps gently. Make certain to routinely clean off the paint that biulds up around the threads. Wipe this off as opposed to allowing it to dry forcing you to remove it with harsher methods like scraping or using a solvent. Be conscious of the way the cap feels when tightening it on the threads. Sense whether it has derailed or whether the threads are clogged. Paint can build up on the tube threads and/or the threads inside the cap. These caps are fragile and often strip or crack. If a cap gets stuck and the tube body begins to twist while attempting to unscrew the cap run the cap end under hot water until it loosens up. Avoid twisting the tube body. It will tear apart. It is a good idea to save the good caps of old used tubes when they are ready to be trashed. They are not all interchangeable but they might be and it is worth having some around. Replacement caps are not sold by themselves but if you catch a bad cap on a new tube you may have a replacement sent to you by the manufacturer if purchased directly. You could try asking for a complete tube of paint replacement from retailers. I have done both successfully.
- Q: Plastic tube how to link three links?
- If it is PPR pipe, you can only call outside the master of water and electricity, should be PPR water pipe joints need welding machine, very troublesome.
- Q: How do plastic tubes compare to ABS tubes in terms of impact resistance?
- In terms of impact resistance, plastic tubes generally offer lower resistance compared to ABS tubes. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) tubes are known for their superior impact resistance, making them more resilient to accidental drops or heavy impacts. Plastic tubes, on the other hand, may be more susceptible to cracking or breaking when subjected to the same level of force.
- Q: What is the level of transparency of plastic tubes?
- The level of transparency of plastic tubes can vary depending on the type and quality of the plastic used. Some plastic tubes may have high transparency, allowing for clear visibility of the contents inside, while others may have a lower level of transparency, resulting in a more opaque appearance.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for storing automotive fluids?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing automotive fluids. However, it is important to ensure that the plastic material used is compatible with the specific automotive fluid being stored to prevent any chemical reactions or degradation of the tube material. Additionally, the tube should be suitable for the required pressure and temperature conditions of the fluid.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for storing chemicals or reagents?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing chemicals or reagents.
- Q: What are the different material options for plastic tubes?
- There are several different material options for plastic tubes, including PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). These materials vary in their properties and characteristics, such as flexibility, durability, chemical resistance, and temperature tolerance, allowing for a wide range of applications and industries to utilize plastic tubes for various purposes.
- Q: My mother is staying with me for a few weeks and was recently put on oxygen, which means a lot of clear plastic tubing. My one cat loves straws and rubberbands. I thought she was ignoring it but she chewed and ruined a long line. Does anyone have some behavioral techniques I can use to stop her from doing this? Thanks so much!
- Spray bottle or make loud noise when cat does the behavior the cat should take off if you do this every time the cat should get the point soon enough
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for water transportation?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for water transportation. They are commonly used for various applications such as irrigation systems, plumbing, and even in some industries for transferring water or other fluids from one location to another. Plastic tubes are lightweight, durable, and resistant to corrosion, making them suitable for water transportation purposes.
- Q: What are the different wall thicknesses available for plastic tubes?
- The different wall thicknesses available for plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific requirements and applications. Generally, plastic tubes can range from thin-walled with thicknesses as low as 0.5mm, to medium-walled with thicknesses between 1mm to 3mm, and even thick-walled tubes with thicknesses exceeding 3mm. The choice of wall thickness depends on factors such as the intended use, structural requirements, and desired flexibility or rigidity of the tube.
