Q: hi, i am in my final year electrical engineering can any one provide me the latest booming seminar topics.
seminartopic.in/p/ieee-seminar-topics-1.html
Q: If this is maintained, but voltage changed from 480V to 240V, by what ratio will supply line losses change?
Power voltage x current Therefore current power/voltage. Thus, if power is constant at 2000kW current at 480 volts will be: I 2000,000/480 4166.67amps At 240 volts: I 2000,000/240 8333.33 amps However, line losses are current (squared) x resistance Thus the ratio will be 4166.67 (squared) / 8333.33 (squared), resistance remaining constant of course. I make that 0.25 (or 4, if you are thinking that way up!) That help?
Q: For instance, could you use normal 14/2 building wire normally used in houses for 115 volt AC lights and outlets and run DC through it provided that the voltage and current does not exceed 120 volts and 15 amps?Could you use normal in-wall light switches in the same way as long as the DC volts and amps does not exceed the AC rating?
They typically need to be derated signficantly for DC. By how much depends on the device - you need to consult the relevant data sheet. To give you some idea, I have some small toggle switches here that are rated for 1A @ 125V AC but only 1A @ 30V DC. That is not at all untypical.
Q: I want to know some information about electrical engineering
The electrical engineering comes from any fault from electrical equipment or the information needed to set any electrical equipment. However the electrical engineering is not only limited to troubleshooting a fault but also invent the proper way to be set up. You can get a wide information about from our following websites
Q: I am 57 years old. MBA graduate with substantial experience in Electrical equipment maintenance. I have also experience in NDT.
My guess is that your age is a stigma, though nobody will admit to you that they won't hire you because of your age. They might not even be conscious that they are discounting you because of your age. Look around the office when you go for your interview. Is it filled with younger, or with older people? Do the regular stuff too: Go on the internet and research good interview skills. Practice with your friends. Ask your friends to critique your resume. Look up the company on the internet and come up with some specifics about why you want to work for that particular company. Yeah, that's a good point Your salary expectations might be significantly higher than someone half your age. Better check into that. Also, I have no idea what NBT is. You might edit your question so that people have a better idea of what your experience is. Good luck!
Q: i replaced my home theater system thinking it was busted but when i recieved my new one it still had the same buzzing sound i noticed the buzz is in the bedroom too
So you've tried this system in other rooms/outlets? Some things in your power gid can cause this. Usually its something like an appliance using some juice like a vacume cleaner or a microwave but that of course is only temporary. If it's a constant thing then try to think of something you recently pluged in or changed that might be sucking power. What you want is a POWER CONDITIONER. Although a few high end surge protectors will sometime have limited power conditioning capabilities.
Q: construction, agricultural, forestry, medical, electrical HVAC etcwhat it will be the best name for a business that it will supply some agency with all kind of equipment ( for all possible industries and activities)
Well a business aproach will definitely be your best bet. Nothing fancy. You should spend some time brainstorming. Maybe check out some other companies name's for inspiration. Maybe stick the last name of the company owner (you?) in part of the name. Basically just spend some time thinking.
Q: At around 11:30PM on January 23rd, 2007 as I was typing on my PC the lights began to flicker and my computer began turning on and off. The lights then became extremely bright followed by a booms outside then the lights dimmed so low it looked as if they were about to burn out. The house phone was on began to cut out and made a loud screeching sound and thensilence. These strange events lasted for nearly 15 minutes when a knock at the front door got my attention. It was a fireman informing me to shut off my computer if I had one because of electrical problems that were occurring in the area. I immediately did so.It was not until the morning I discovered that my two TV's, all three cordless phones, a microwave, two alarm clocks, my entire computer, VCR/DVD, DVR/Cable Box had all been destroyed due to the massive power surge they endured. After surveying each and every unit I learned that all appliances in every apartment was damaged or destroyed.Who is to blame for this?
Wow, okorder
Q: For example, a typical multimeter measuring just 25 ohms in a closed circuit will not show continuity by beeping.
The definition of electrical continuity is that the current will be closed by electrons and molecules. The ohms, is the resistance to the circut being closed completely, usually determined by a nominal factor in communication and audio equipment. 25 ohms is a high resistance. In other words, 4 ohm speakers will be almost twice as loud with the same applied volume than 8 ohm speakers. So your 25 ohm measurement is taking out most of the current. You are creating the resistance to the 100% continuity by 25 ohms. Ted Taff money911.ws
Q: If i were to give a hybrid vehicle to a teenager, and they decided to add a bunch of high powered electrical equipment:1. Does this utilize the same battery that the car motors use to propel the car.2. Do gas-electric hybrids have alternators capable of generating electricity while the car is running?3. What are the limitations of adding additional electrical accessories to the car? ie. DVD players, video screens, amplifiers, extra power outlets for laptops
1 Yes there is a seperate battery for auxillaries and a seperate battery that runs the electric motor/charger. 2 the alternator that runs the auxillaries is a normal 60 to 90 watt unit. It cannot charge the batteries that drive the car. 3 no differant than addind to a regular car.
