- Q:why does the toothpaste doesnt react with tube in which its filled?
- toothpaste is inert. Plastic that makes up the toothpaste tube is inert. In order for a reaction to occur you have to have a reason (governed by the laws of thermodynamics). Chemical reactions are usually exchange of electrons (oxidation and reduction reactions) and if the two compounds are stable (i.e. have no free electrons to donate or no charges to attract electrons) they will not react.
- Q:Is the writing method of plastic pipes DN or De? What does that mean?
- De (nominal outside diameter) *e (nominal wall thickness) is the seamless pipe representation. The plastic pipe shall be expressed as de (nominal outer diameter) *e (nominal wall thickness).
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for construction purposes?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for construction purposes. They are commonly used for various applications such as drainage systems, plumbing, electrical conduits, and as structural components in certain types of construction projects. Plastic tubes are lightweight, durable, and resistant to corrosion, making them a suitable choice for many construction needs.
- Q:i have to know, because otherwise the hoover is rendered completely useless, the bottle cap is the same size as the hoover tube and i do not have a stick or long object long enough with which to poke it out :(please help me
- If the part of the tube where the cap is lodged is all metal for 8-10 inches in either direction, try heating it up. Position the tube on the reverse port, leave the vacuum off, then heat the tube to the point of weakening and distorting the cap. Then turn it on and blast that sucker out. WARNING: This method may very likely destroy your hoover!
- Q:im just wondering
- I guess you are asking about the small plastic tubes inserted in the ear to drain them. My husband had to have one several years ago because there was so much fluid in the Eustachian tube. When you go swimming or shower, you have to put cotton in the ear and cover it with Vaseline so no water will get in. It gets messy. Many times these tubes will fall out on their own. Otherwise, they're left in for a couple of months at a time. They are very tiny tubes.
- Q:How do you prevent plastic tubes from warping in direct sunlight?
- One way to prevent plastic tubes from warping in direct sunlight is to use UV-resistant or weather-resistant plastic materials. These types of plastics are specifically designed to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without warping or deforming. Additionally, you can also apply a protective coating or paint with UV inhibitors to the surface of the tubes, which can provide an extra layer of protection.
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for industrial applications?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for various industrial applications. These tubes are often made from durable and chemical-resistant materials such as PVC, polyethylene, or polypropylene. They are commonly utilized for transporting fluids, gases, or granular materials in industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, chemical processing, and construction. Plastic tubes offer advantages such as lightweight construction, corrosion resistance, ease of installation, and cost-effectiveness, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for storing personal care products?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing personal care products. They are commonly used for packaging products such as lotions, creams, gels, and toothpaste due to their durability, flexibility, and ease of use.
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for greenhouse installations?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for greenhouse installations. Plastic tubes are often used to create a framework for greenhouse structures due to their durability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. They provide a lightweight and easily customizable option for constructing greenhouse frames, allowing for efficient installation and maintenance. Additionally, plastic tubes can be easily shaped and connected to form various greenhouse designs, making them a popular choice for greenhouse installations.
- Q:Plastic tubing is touching compressor (or close to it) and gets hot and brittle. I recoupled a bad spot 1 year ago and it is leaking again. I would like to replace the tubing from the back of the refrig (solenoid) to the water filter. Any ideas on what material to use? I would like to use copper line thru the bottom of the refrig if not all the way to the water filter, but don't know how to connect it to the solenoid. Also would pex (1/4 OD) line be a better (albeit more expensive) choice for this?
- You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.
