 FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.  What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:What are the benefits of installing tile in kitchen and bathroom or would linoleum be better? Also, how hard is it to install tile floors. I‘ve had friends who‘ve had no experience and they did it and did a good job. I am just a bit skeptical of doing it myself but just wondered if there are videos out there that shows you how to do it.
lINOLEUM CAN BE A PAIN IN THE YOU KNOW WHAT. RESALE VALUE I WOULD HAVE TO SAY CERAMIC FLOOR TILE WITHOUT A DOUBT. FIRST LOOK AT YOU FLOOR ..DOES IT LOOK LEVEL FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND LENGTH WISE WITH NO DIPS IN THE FLOOR ANYWHERE. iF YOU ANSWERD YES THEN CHANCES ARE YOU WONT NEED A FLOOR LEVELING CRETE MIX. yOU WILL HAVE TO PULL UP WHATEVER IS DOWN THERE NOW..GET IT TO THE SUB FLOOR OR THE CONCRETE..DEPENDING WHAT YOUR HOUSE IS BUILT ON..IN EITHER CASE YOU CAN USE THE TILE. yOU NEED TO LAY MESH DOWN OVER THE FLOOR. THIS IS THE BACKING THAT WILL HOLD AND SECURE THE TILE TO THE FLOOR. ALWAYS START WITH A FULL PIECE OF TILE IN THE DOORWAY OF YOUR BATHROOM. WORK YOUR WAY TO THE BACK..THATS WHERE YOU WANT ALL THE TILE THAT GETS CUT TO END. THAT WAY YOU HAVE ALL FULL PIECES WHERE IT COUNTS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WET SAW..IT'S FINE. LAY ALL OF YOUR FULL PIECES THE FIRST DAY.DONT WALK ON THE FLOOR FOR A DAY . THEN THE NEXT DAY IS GOING TO BE ALL THE CUT TILES U NEED TO INSTALL. YOU CAN GET A CHEAP TILE CUTTER FOR UNDER 15 DOLLARS AT HOME DEPOT FOR ALL OF YOUR STRIGHT CUTS. IF YOU HAVE A TILE THAT NEEDS TO BE NOTCHED OR A ' L ' CUT..MARK ..MARK THE TILE WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE BUT..WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE TILE WITH EITHER NUMBER OR LETTERS SO U REMEMBER WHERE IT GOES..TRANSFER THE SAME NUMBER OR LETTER TO THE FLOOR SO U DONT FORGET. TAKE ALL THE PIECES TO BE CUT TO HOME DEPOT..THEY HAVE A WET SAW THERE ANS WILL CUT THEM FOR YOU. DONT TRIL TO TILE AROUNDF THE TOILET. IT WILL LOOK LIKE CRAP. **** THE WATER VALVE OFF BEHIND THE TOILET.LIFT THE TOILET OUT AND SET IT IN THE BATHTUB ON A OLD BLANKET THAT U DONT WANT. TILE UNDER THE TOILET AND GET CLOSE TO THE FLANGE AS U CAN..U MAY HAVE TO RAISE THE FLANGE TO THE HEIGHT OF THE NEW TILE FLOOR. CHANCES ARE YOU WONT. JUST MAKE SURE THE FLANGE ISNT BELOW THE NEW TILE HEIGHT. THIS SOUNDS REALLY HARD, BUT IT REALLY ISN'T. JUST TAKES TIME. GOOD LUCK
Q:2nd bathroom, rarely used. Not sure if I want to spend the time to remove the tile (200 sq ft) or just put a think underlayment over it and then laminate.Anything that I should be concerned with doing it this way?
You don t say if its vinyl tile or ceramic tile. Vinyl tile the floor change is minimal and no problem. Doing it over a ceramic tile you may have a transition concern at the doorway. Other than raising the floor height, which I assume you realize, there is no concerns as long as the flooring down now is flat, solid and level, it ll be fine. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a few 100,000 s/f. GL
Q:I am wondering which tile will be easier to clean, polished or non polished? My hub and I are remodeling the bathroom and we are in the stage of deciding of tiles for the shower wall and bathroom floor.
Polished tile is easier to clean, but does show scuff marks more. Polished tile also shows soap film more. Unpolished tile is currently more in style, but styles change so fast that polished tile could be back in vogue within 10 years. Personally, I prefer polished tile in a bathroom, myself. The grout is a pain in the anatomy to keep clean, regardless...so, it hardly matters which tile cleans easier. Just go for whichever tile you like best. -
Q:I have a purple tub and purple tile through out the bathroom ,how do I change the color ,is there paint I can buy
You need to know if your tiles are glazed or not. Then visit any craft store and ask for ceramic paint, but remember to check if it's for glazed or unglazed tiles.
Q:I‘m gutting my bathroom and will be tiling the floor and then adding a new vanity and a new toilet. The question is, do you tile before you put in the toilet and new vanity or do you put in these items first and then tile around them? Concrete slab foundation that I‘m currently working on leveling.
SOME 10 point answers so far. I hope you acknowledge all of them. The issue relates to what you might want to change, Down the road and please know that home builders, don't usually do any flooring under a vanity,,,sigh. I've installed multiple thousands of sq. ft. of flooring, and have re-modeled more bathrooms than anything else, and have to say if nothing is in the bathroom yet, your looking at installing not much more than a 30x24 inch area of tile UNDER where the vanity will be, and less under where the toilet will be. At current prices, and without the added labor you're cost might be less than another $50 for the better way to go. Seems logical to me. Still, give everyone above me some thanks. Tiling, sheet vinyl, hardwood, Solid GOLD, UNDER a toilet is a natural assumption, and allows for NO odd cuts. Assume however, that one day you might want a pedastal sink as opposed to that GLIT vanity. If you install flooring Under, it'll still be there, if you change your notion. Very realistically TILE, etc. Will NOT be on the shelf, to match, 5 years from now. Steven Wolf
Q:If you can tile on top do i need to prepare the old tile surface?
of course you can. You need to prepare properly and use the correct adhesives. For further information visit the tilerworld forum
Q:i;m going to install a medallion and i need to cut circle on four tiles. is there anything else besides a hand grinder that will do the job, ( cheap) i don‘t want to spend 300$$ just to cut 4 tiles to make a circle for the medallion to fit. thanks
Maybe take them back to where you bought they along with the medallion and see if they will do them for you. NOt an easy job!
Q:How can the stickers on the tiles clean up?
4. Fengyoujing effect can be. If it is not Glue stickers and the like can also be blown off with a hair dryer is very good off, but not suitable for plastic, hot plastic deformation. 5. blown with a hairdryer, this effect is very good at home is also convenient for everyone Hairdryer hair dryer, whether on the sticker glass, plastic, wood, metal can be, first with the hairdryer back and forth hot blowing a few times, and then tear a small side, along the direction of tearing slowly tearing side with a hot tube ,good results.
Q:and 12 red tiles and 9 white tiles in pattern 3, how many white and red tiles will there be in pattern 6 and pattern 10?Thanks!
18 red and 18 white in 6 26 red and 30 white in10
Q:I have 12x12 tiles in my kitchen on the floor and about 5 of them are cracked/damaged. How hard is it to replace them, can I do it myslef or hire a professional? What materials will be needed?
It's not difficult but it takes some strength and patience. You'll have to break off the damaged tiles and chip the mortar (cement like stuff) until it is flat and even. You can use a chisel for this since it's a small surface. Take out the grout around the tile as well. Then you'll need some mortar, the replacement tile, and grout (color need to match existing grout). Place the prepared mortar on the square using a trowel and lay the tile on it - make sure the tile is even with the existing flooring. If it sinks too low, add mortar, if it pops up too high, take out excess mortar. Then wait 24 hours and then apply the prepared grout over the tile using a rubber float. Scrub clean with wet sponge - might take several times to get the grout film off the tile surface. Wait another 24 hours for the grout to set before walking on it. All done.
