FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q: I need matching vinyl tiles for my kitchen floor. they‘re about 18x18 inch. I only need about 6 of them. is it possible to have a company match the design of tile and custom make me new ones, or a company that can match them?
- It would probably be cheaper to replace the whole floor than to have matching tiles made, even if that were possible. Is there a place you can take tiles from, like under a rug, or under furniture where they won't be missed, and use them? You can then replace those you took up with something close, and they won't be noticeable. Another option is if the 6 tiles are all in one spot, and in front of the sink, or stove, you can replace them with contrastin tiles, and have a sort of permanent rug effect. In that case you can use 6 x 6 or 9 x 9 tiles. Another thing you might try is doing an internet search for places that sell discontinued vinyl tile. Someone must buy the remaining stock of discontinued tile to sell.
- Q: i going to tile my whole house both floors bath room and all with the same tile it is a 20x20 tile diagonally where should i start and does it really matter where ?
- Start doing the largest area and do a 1/2 tile on the out side wall. All interior walls are supposed to be layed out to the out side and be square. Now if you have a long visible hall way near by, you may want to split that to get a good look at it from there. Its hard to positively say with out seeing it. I could visualize it then. Since this is a diagonal you cant control to much where the tiles land. If it were a straight lay, you d have a bit more control as to the layout. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
- Q: should i put tile in my kitchen if im gonna put wood floors in rest of my house ? or should i put the wood floors all through out ?? does it look ok with tile and wood transition ??
- I don't know why people are posting tile. I believe hardwood floors are classier/ nicer/ easier to decorate/ easier to clean. Just think of the fact that the grout lines between the tiles will get absolutely nasty after a year, specially in highly transited areas such as kitchens bathrooms.
- Q: I am am re-tiling the kitchen counter. Please help. Thanks.
- this site shows you exactly what, and how to do it, hope this helps
- Q: Can you put linoleum over tile?
- why do renters think they own the house and can do anything they want? IT IS NOT YOUR FLOOR! read your rental agreement I am sure it says you cannot start building things or changing the structure without permission. ask your landlord first or forget about getting your security deposit back or maybe get a big bill to repair what you ruined. I think you mean vinyl flooring real linoleum is old and very expensive. to put vinyl down the floor must be perfectly flat otherwise the pattern will show through and it will probably rip. you would have to mud it to make it flat first. Go check what it would cost to have it mudded and have vinyl installed. I think you might decide it is not so ugly after all
- Q: hello, this is my first tile and grout job, tiling is done now for grout. bought premixed grout, rubber float, sponge, started grouting last night, put grout on the float and applied to the tile. pushed it into the space between tiles, but it seems like alot fell off in the tub (its in the spaces between tiles) but is this normal for the grout to fall off the wall (i guess it would be considered excess?) but is that normal no sure how applying grout is suppose to look? i know i need to let it sit for 24hrs then do clean up then seal it when done. plz let me know if that grout falling in tub is normal or am i doing something wrong? ( grout is in the grout line though) just looks like alot is falling, or am i useing to much at one time? don‘t know? thx again for any info. mike
- Just okorder / can be simply made with a piece of plywood and a dowel. Simply hold the hawk against the tile then slide the grout onto the wall. And just reuse any that fall into the tub. If you were not using a premixed I would say mix your grout a little soupier as the wetter stuff will stick better to the tile for a minute giving you a chance to spread it. In a word yes its normal........ The bigger mess, the harder your working!!
- Q: Hello! I currently have a 3 season sunroom addition on the back of my home that has been stripped down to the wood. I recently saw a 4 season sunroom that had tile down and needless to say, I fell in love with it! I am thinking about putting tile down in there but am worried about the weather...I live in Minnesota where it gets very cold...and that room is not heated in the winter. Would I have problems with the tile cracking? Or does anyone know of an alternative way to get a tile-looking floor without having to worry the temperature changes??
- Hi, In the UK we have a floor covering which is similar to the wood effect laminate floor, it locks together and looks amazingly like 9x9 tiles. I put it in my bathroom and it is not as cold as tiles to the bare feet. It is a wood/paper based product but is waterproof for the normal house hold duty. I assume that the Minnesota winter will not make it too cold. Use a styrefoam underlay 2mm thick to prevent heat loss. this is a do it yourself job if you are handy with a saw, We know it as TILE LOK
- Q: Is it hard to fit tile around the toilet? Should I start there first?
- I answered 2 peel and stick tile Q's just today, I wouldn't use it or advise it, but obviously it sells. Cathy has the best first answer, take up the toilet. Without knowing what the old floor is, or the substrate and not knowing how long you plan to occupy the house, IF I was to do the job, I'd use contact cement on the existing floor and back olf the peel and stick. It's available in a lacquer or water base. Steven Wolf After installing thousands of sq. ft. of various flooring types I'd suggest sheet stock as opposed to peel and stick
- Q: Also, formica or tile for a countertop???
- either is fine, unless you bowl in your kitchen ceramic will hold up fine for normal wear and tear, the counter top is your choice, wich look do you like, im personally a tile person.
- Q: I found answers about laying tile and a backer board over linoleum I didn‘t know if they would be the same. What would cause tile to crack if it‘s places directly on concrete?
- Go to a Tile Store. They now have Ceramic Tile which can be put on top of other flooring as long as the floor is level. Some of these Tiles can be snapped together. No Mud, no Grout. They look wonderful.
