FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: i just bought this house and my kitchen floor tile is all cracked it was put on a wood serfice. i need a quick fix because redoing the whole kitchen needs doing but is not in my bugit at this time. can i cover it with linoleum with out it also cracking before i can remodle?.
Sure. Lino does not crack(unless you give it 50 years of aging) But the lino on a roll is the best route to go. Not tile squares so much(you can do it that way but it is a bother).
Q: How to calculate the loss of tiles
The loss rate of the block surface is calculated according to the fixed standard. Ordinary tile loss rate of 3%, such as interior wall tile wall. Special tile loss rate of 2%, such as marble walls.
Q: I saw tiles on HGTV once for a bathroom (I want to use them for a kitchen backsplash) they are small tiles but they are attached to each other by a piece of mesh on the back, and you just peel the paper off the back and slap it on the wall, then grout over it. What are these, where can I find it, etc?
They are 12 Mosaic Tile sheets and are easily available at most home stores. Good Luck!
Q: My granddaughter dropped a hard toy while being held by her Mom. It put a quarter size hole in the center of my ceramic tile. How can I go about filling this hole?
Many people keep the extras tucked away in the basement or somewhere in the house. Try looking for them. Plan b would be to remove one from under the fridge or something. But you got to change it.to look right.
Q: Do you have to rough up the old flooring ?
Maybe. If the old vinyl tile is flat, then yes. If it is dimensional (has any type of raised surface), then you would have to use a flooring patching compound to level it (a lot of work). Also, you have to make sure the old vinyl tile is clean. Glue will not stick to a dirty surface. I would think it would be easier to get thin plywood, nail it down and put the vinyl tile on that.......
Q: Having done some work in the bathroom we would like to reuse some of the tiles we took of which arent broken, does anybody have any suggestions as to how we remove the adhesive and grout so that they can be reused?
Are you speaking strictly of Adhesive? Perhaps on the face? OR Tile Mortar still attached to the back of the tile? Adhesive would be removable with products like GOOF OFF or other such designed for the purpose. Mortar removal cannot be accomplished by any means so far offered. Rev. Steven
Q: I have a pistol grip glass cutter with a carbide cutting wheel....can this be used to cut ceramic tile, or am I better off to get tile nippers?
It really depends on the tile. All tile cuts differently. The width of your cut even makes a difference. You basically have to test your tile to find out. Most tile cuts easily. Tiles from Italy and Brazil can be a nightmare requiring slow water cuts. A set of hand nippers is a must.....to clean cuts and make inside corners......as well as cuts for plumbing and electrical. Shop around.....there are some single use tile tools available on the market.
Q: I want to know how to make tile based map in java. Retro games used tiled maps (to ease programming and memory management) but those games were created in assembly language. I know basic java. Now I want to make a 2d game in java, starting with a pretty basic 2d platformer type or top-down type. To do this, i need to know the technique required to make a map, a tile map.I have already searched in google and youtube and stack overflow, but none helped much. What I learnt is that I have to make some tile object and make a 2 dimensional matrix to store position of particular tiles. But this does not helped much. Thank you.P.S. there are many programs available on the internet for making tile maps, and also there are game making softwares and also libraries. i do not want to use any of those since i want to make my game with whatever java provides. Thank you. Also forgive my poor english.
first of all, you need to build different densities of 2D tile arrays according to how much of the map will be in the viewport at any given time. For example, a map at neighborhood level will need a gazillion more tiles than a map at the county level. Then, you need a way of converting the geographic reference at the center of the viewport to the tile that is covered at that zoom level, and for finding the adjacent tiles as well. Then, you'll need to calculate what parts of which tiles you are using will need to be clipped and by how much. Build a canvas using this information. As the map moves, you'll need to add on more adjacent tiles, and discard others, update the clipping, etc.
Q: I‘m remodeling my kitchen and there is ugly floor to ceiling wall tile. My contractor says can‘t put up drywall without reframing (which would be expensive). So does anyone have suggestion on what to do with this wall?
If the tiles are on a villa board just rip it off the studs and take out any nails or screws so the drywall can just be fixed straight onto the studs. First you have to knock one of the tiles off, since that walls is being redone this won't upset the apple cart. Just be care when taking off the tile, because I was doing the same things years ago and I hit a tile with a hammer and it shattered sending bits of razor sharp tile fly one cutting my arm, wear eye protection and put something like a towel over the tile so it won't fly everywhere. Once you've knock off a tile if there's board behind it you're in luck, just continue doing as you got the first tile off and clear the studs of anything that will get in the way of the sheetrock. If not you'll need to batten the wall out to take the sheetrock as your contractor said Well depending on what you intend to do with the wall, will you re-tile? If you intend to re-tile just use a chisel and carefully knock them off the wall taking as much of the tile mortar off as you can, it doesn't matter if there's a little unevenness, but you can't have high spots all over the wall, because if you re-tile the high spot will cause the tile to ride on ithe high spots making it hard to tile, if it's just a little the tile compound/mortar will even out around it during tiling. I'd take anything higher than 1/8 off using a Scutch Hammer. ...
Q: Can a ceramic wall tile be applied directly to a greenboard surface with mortar or is a cement backer board required? Thanks for your help
Yes you can just be patient and remove the loose tiles which should not be hard to do. The reason that they have turned loose is because of moisture behind the tiles. Be sure you have a good stable surface for the tiles that you put back to adhere to. You may have to lay a film of masonry of something to give you a solid surface to hold the replaced tiles. As for as glue, I would use a adhesive that is called F26 and it is multipurpose to reattach the tile. I will guarantee that those tile will never come off again.
