FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: MyMy bathroom. which is about 75 square feet has a carpet and I want to change it to tile. The only utility is a toilet. How do I handle the toilet? If I use ceramic tile, does the toilet sit on the ceramic tile and does that cause a problem with breaking the tile? What do you recommend that is practical, easy to install, and still functional?
First remove the toilet. There is two screws holding it down, remove them. Then remove the toilet and the rug. What is underneath the carpet? If you have cement, you can tile over cement if its not damaged. If your have wood, you can install cement board using the cement screws that id made for this type of installation. Never use sheet rock screws. Use thin-set modified mortar to install floor tiles, do not use adhesive glue. I would recommend 8 x 8 tile but no bigger than 13 x 13 tile. Spread the thin-set onto the floor evenly using a spreader with 3/8 space. Spread an area enough to cover two or three tiles. Install two or three at a time and level them off, then continue the process. Let dry overnight and reinstall toilet, I would change the johnny ring and new screws.
Q: I am about to redo my bathroom, and I Absolutely hate corners. They get dirty and are hard to clean plus I think they are ugly. So as far as tile is concerned is there something like a bent tile for an inside corner such as from floor to wall which will eliminate corners. Imagine if you will a quarter pipe use by skaters. If nothing exists where could I go to get custom tiles made.
American Olean, Summitville and I m sure there other makers make a cove tile meant to be used of flooring corners between the wall tile and floor tile. You can see them in commercial applications allot. I don t see why you cant adopt the same concept to walls. There is also a base tile used for showers called an A 3401 that you could use in the same way. There is a whole color range in in 4x4 and 6x6 tiles. These are nice but basic tiles . Many manufacturers make these, including Florida Tile, Dal Tile and Interceramic that I can think of. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: I would like to hand paint ceramic tiles then cement it on a out door bench. But I have no idea what I need, what to do, and where to get the materials.
You can get supplies via some craft shops (ceramicist supplies) and some tile merchants. It is possible to obtain 'biscuit' that is unglazed tiles which you design and decorate with glazes and then fire. This is the difficult bit either you need your own kiln or access to one. The best idea might be to enrol on an adult course to learn the techniques, they can then organise supplies and the firing plus show you how it is done properly. Could be a lot of fun.
Q: Behind my sink in the kitchen, I have a back splash that is white tile with an ugly floral pattern on about every other tile. Instead of replacing all the tile, I was thinking maybe I could somehow take off the floral stuff.I don‘t think it is like a sticker, I tried scrubbing it off with a magic eraser with no luck. Any ideas?
They okorder /
Q: We have ceramic tile on the wall in the bathroom with a few tiles of color. Hate to change whole bathroom.
As Steven mentioned above, there are products out there that would do it, but not to a satisfactory level. There is a grout colorant which isn't that bad, but the epoxy-based paint that they use for the glazed ceramic tiles does not come out that good.
Q: I have granite tiles I want to put on a kitchen countertop. I removed the laminate and underneath is about 1.5 thick of a particle board of some sort. The countertop is very sturdy and the board is in great shape. I know if this stuff get wet, you can have problems, but otherwise it seems to be very sturdy stuff. I know most people will say you need to put down a sheet of hardibacker, but I don‘t see the point. With a top grade thinset, these tiles will definitely adhere to the board extremely well. Grount lines will be extremely tiny and I‘m going to double seal everything with a really good sealer. I don‘t see anyway water is going to penetrate these tiles and thinset and get to the particle board. That‘s really the whole issue, right?
I agree with you. You will always need to be aware that there is a possibility the tiles may come loose one day and need to be fixed. Tile adhesive on plywood or particle board may react differently than on backerboard. If budget is a problem, I would try it.
Q: Things fade on the tiles how to get rid of
Light-colored tiles of daily maintenance also need to master some tips, cleaning can use clean water and detergent or soap; with soap when cleaning a little ammonia and turpentine mixture, can make the tile more smooth. If tea or other daily necessities attached to the tiles above should be promptly scrub clean, if necessary, use the appropriate cleaning supplies clean. Brick noodles, such as scratches, can be applied at the scratches toothpaste for cloth wipes can be repaired. Brick and brick cracks can be used from time to time to remove dirt dirt, and then in the gap brush a layer of waterproof agent can be anti-mold growth. Animal and vegetable fat, beer, coffee, ice cream, etc. can be washed with sodium fluoride, potassium bicarbonate Sediment, ink, rust, mortar, agricultural tea, rubber, etc. can be diluted hydrochloric acid, dilute nitric acid, dilute oxalic acid, dilute sulfuric acid cleaning Paint, drawing pen can be turpentine, pyruvate or alkali cleaning Coke, vinegar can be cleaned with acid or alkali The mud can be washed with linseed oil
Q: I was clowning around with my son and I accidentally knocked over a table and chipped a tile. It's about a quarter size chip. You can actually see the dark bottom part of the tile so its kinda deep. I was wondering if I can fix it without replacing it. What do I need? By the way, I blamed on my 4 year old !!!!!!!!! THX 4 ur help!
First of all, own up to the accident and apologize to your son and your wife! If you are lucky, you may be able to find some grout to match, that you can fill in the hole with. Go to your local tile store and see if they might have a Custom Blend Grout Chart or a ProSpec Grout chart that you can take home and see what color comes closest to the tile. Or you could try either brand in a sanded caulk in a tube. The only other choice is to replace the tile, which generally is hard to match! Or to place a piece of furniture or a rug, over the spot. That may not be best, depending on what part of the floor the spot is at!
Q: are linulium tiles long lasting? how can I replace.
2 ways. remove the old or not? If the old floor is level and pretty intact you can just go over it. Use hardi-backer under the tile, its a breeze. Just make sure to use the spacers they sell, and the trowel for the proper glue depth. Hardest part is removing the tpilet(turn off water, flush twice, put in tub on pile of old sheets). Cutting tile is simple also. You can buy a blade that goes on your hacksaw blade. You can buy the miter-box type for $30.00. Lay it out for fewest cuts. Grout hides imperfections, and tile is inexpensive. go for it.
