FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q:I need tips on how to install tiles around bathroom walls. I have the walls up and taped. Now what??? I leveled and drew a line under the window cell horizontal and vertical. 1) Do I start tiling from the tub up?2) How do I seal - or do I have to seal the tiles (Ceramic tiles 4x4)?3) What type of sealer should I use? Please give me a name that I can easily find @HD or loews.
- My very strong opinion on this matter is to go to Lowe's or HD during a weekday morning, when they're not too busy. Get a handy-dandy little book so you have it with you as you go. Ask the cute lil helper at the store to help you with all you will need. Yes, you will need to seal the grout - they can find the best sealer, the best grout, the whole nine yards. Good luck on your project
- Q:I have tiles in my house. The whole 1st story is tile. Their porcelain. My chihuahua stays downstairs all the time and I was wondering does the tile have any affect on her? The tiles get really cold.
- They are cold and do not provide very firm footing. Dogs generally do not favor tile. Try some big area rugs to make the dog more comfortable,
- Q:Once I removed the old tiles is there anything else I should do before I lay the new ones?
- If you're removing ceramic tiles, you want to make sure that the new ones will bond to the cement subfloor. To check this, after the tiles are removed, acid wash the concrete floor with one part of Muriatic Acid 15 parts of water....BE careful. The floor should sizzle a little. If it doesn't, you will want to remove any adhesive that is still on the floor, and that's not easy! OR, go to a tile store in your area, or Home Depot, and tell them you need an adhesive that will bond to mastic that is still on your cement floor. If you're removing vinyl tile, the existing mastic shouldn't be a problem, but be sure to remove and clean any debris that might get sandwiched between the old and the new mastic.
- Q:Is there a brand logo on the back of the tiles
- The general manufacturers have, but to see if you can not know, before the ceramic are produced in Foshan, and now there are many manufacturers in Qingyuan Jiangxi, tile brand is too much, I do tiles Sales are also do not know a lot, huh, huh, hoping to help you, please please adopt!
- Q:We are thinking about adding small mosaic or stone tiles on our kitchen backsplash. We recently went to a short class at Home Depot on tiling. The guy there reccommended installing a backerboard on drywall first. Is this difficult for a first-time DIYer? Several of the tutorials I‘ve found online install directly onto the drywall. Any recommendations? What are the consequences for installing directly onto the drywall? Thanks in advance.

- Q:i need help putting up counter tops and backsplashes.(tile)
- I tile every day of my life, and might understand your confusion, but wonder of the type of HELP you need? On a countertop, my standard is 1/8th inch grout lines. Your issue depends in some part, on the size of the counter top and tiles you choose. Obviously on a floor, using 12 x 12 tiles, IF you went with a 1/8 grout line, you add an inch in floor measurement...loss/gain, for every 8 tiles set. Most effective for a backsplash and counter face is to include Bullnose and the reverse of that (the name escapes me) for where the counter meets the splash. The substrate should be molded to conform, but with adequate prep, you could fill. Certainly an ideal is for a counter top substrate to be exacly large enough to accomodate tile sizes, and grout lines, with no cutting. That's a rare occurance, unless it was preplanned. AND again depends on tile size. 2, 6, 9, 12, etc. and shapes in tile, IE: Octagonal Im my kitchen, my counter tops are 24 inches deep, to the wall. Using a 1/8 grout line, I'll have cuts to make, no matter the size of the tile, unless I find some that aren't exactly as stated. (Undersize) Glad to add if you wish, but wonder what type of Help exactly, you need. Steven Wolf
- Q:I believe the tiles were made in Mexico. They are light beige in color. They were installed in the master bathroom which has a shower stall, no bathtub.
- I tile every day of my life, and while not a major fan of sealers, I get it that many are, in the belief that they retard dirty and mold, etc. It will be a life long, occasional task however. It makes little difference where the tile was produced, what matters in your case is whether or not the tiles are glazed in the firing process. One would hope any contractor holding any level of intelligence would not install unglazed tile in a bath or kitchen. IF they are glazed, sealing is a useless procedure. There is no need to seal tile that has been glaze fired, essentially turning the surface into glass, NON porous. Certainly no matter what you seal, anywhere, the surface should be as clean as possible. Steven Wolf Just my two sense
- Q:I want to install wood look laminate flooring. I have a sliding glass door with metal frame. I can‘t put shoe molding around it since it‘s metal so what do I do? Also, with porcelain tile, do I create some type of frame around the tile with real wood or is there a transition for this.
- For the tile you can get metal edging to use as a transition from the tile to whatever else; the shape of the edging is determined by what it butts up against. Several different shapes are available in various colors. It is mortared in under the tiles to form a finished edge. You can get this stuff at Home Depot in the tile department.
- Q:Tile maintenance
- In fact, no need to do special maintenance! There are a lot of tiles clean economy, a lot of selling sealants will have to sell. However, if you want to maintain, the main attention to the following points: 1, to maintain the dryness of tiles, high grade tiles will not be affected by the air humidity, mainly cement and other auxiliary materials! 2, oil, furniture, electrical killer, of course, is one of the scourge of tiles, kitchen weight, range hood had to match! The hood is always kept clean under it! 3, the bathroom, the hero can not withstand the fist, the bathroom is the most easy to dirty, the use of the most places, so keep the bathroom ventilation, equipped with a common dirt treatment agent is king! 4, living room, restaurant, there is nothing to pay attention to, and 2 days swept away, 5 days a drag enough 5, do not let the weapon, heavy objects suddenly come into contact with the tiles, no matter how good the tiles can be immune to several times, but can not often!
- Q:I am having carpet professionally install, but would like to tile my dinning area. Should I install the tiles first? And how should I leave the transition area of the tile?
- Yes you should. The last thing that goes in should be your carpet. Out of all types of flooring, the first thing that goes in should be the dirtiest which is typically the ceramic tile. So start with the tile finish up with the grout and you can now install the carpet. Hope this helps. ;-)
