Q: I want room color which color perfectly adjust with my granite green tile
Adjust? Ok... that's an interesting way to put it. Colors that go with green are brown, tan, burgandy, and peach.
Q: Im going to put tile floors in my home, and working on a budget so i cant spend too much. question is I am undecided regarding the color, i found a brownish color tile kinda like sienna not to dark 16x16 and another beige with cream and is glossy with a design etch on it really nice, but in a 12x12 i think. anyway, i really like the sienna color for the living room, kitchen, foyer and hallway, but i dont think it would look right in the bathroom, i like the beige for the bath. i have a very small bathroom so wold it look weird to have two diffrent tiles in a home? i plan to paint my living room in a grayish blue color french blue i think its called with white trim but still undecided in bathroom i really need some advise on this so if anyone knows please help
You will probably want to use smaller sized tiles in the bathroom for a few reasons, they will look fine in a different color. You can buy a marble threshold to put in the doorway between the bathroom and hallway that will make for a nice transition.
Q: I understand most of the rules of pai gow tiles, but one part that I am not clear on is banking. If I am the banker, do I get to see the ways that the players set their tiles before I set mine? Or do I secretly set my tiles just like everyone else and then we all reveal simultaneously?
yes to main question
Q: I am redoing my bathroom floor and I am going to use stick on tiles how do I put them on? Do you just stick them on the
For your best adhesion. its best to start out with a clean wood sub floor. Depending on what is down now, its best to put a new luan sub floor. These you can sometimes go over whats there now and sometimes its best to rip out and start new. Always start from the middle and work to the out side. But if your tile lays out to less than a 1/2 tile, move the tile over the center line by a 1/2 tile. Now MOST peel n stick are directional so they must be layed all in one direction.. This is personal preference, but I like to have a whole tile at the doorway and what ends up in back is the way it is unless its a real small pc. Dry lay out the tiles to see what you like.. Any flooring questions you can e mail me thru my avatar.. GL
Q: Is it possible to remove just the top row of the ceramic tile on my bathroom walls without damaging the remaining tile? I‘d like to replace the top row with glass tiles for a more updated look.
Really don t know why every ones is trying to answer w/o out knowing what the tile is over as a substrate.. I ll give to 2 types of possible substrates and you determine what you need to do.. If your atop a dry wall and its your trim pc I wouldn t try to do it.. You ll rip up and tear out dry wall hunks.. If your on a cement board or a cement base ( mud walls) this can be done but done carefully..You can chip other tiles when doing this. The grout joint plays a factor in this too. If its a real small joint and using an un sanded joint, the use of a power tool won t get in there to take the grout out. You ll have to dig it out by hand and then try and take tile off.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there GL
Q: My house is 55 years old. They had vinyl floring in the bathroom. We wanted to replce the flooring but when we hauled up the vinyl, theres 2inch ceremic tiles underneath. I think the vinyl was glued down because the tiles are a mess. We bought some vinyl flooring to put back down. Whats the best way to do this? We were going to but 1/4 round but now the floors are tile underenath, and the walls are tile as well so we can‘t nail it in.
I had the same kind of bathroom. In the hardware store they sell an adhesive called liquid nails. We used that. Be aware, it can make a mess if you're not careful.
Q: I need to re-set some tiles on a roof that have slipped and replace some others. Also, I need to re seal my flashing around my vents. What am I getting into, and how hard is it to work on tile roof?
Professional here, are you talking about Slate tiles, Spanish tiles, or shingles ?? Flashing around vents requires a pointing trowel with the end tip broken off, makes it easier to apply around flashing, I would use Karnak brand myself, have used it 20 yrs commercially. You would require skill to get this right even if you try. Replacing any so called Tiles also requires experience, if you never walked a roof, you could kill yourself. If your in the NYC area. email me, I'll either tell you how to do this yourself or do it for you for a charge.
Q: I got thisAmerican Florim tile about a year ago and can‘t remember if was Terra cotta tile. Does it look like it to you? If so it is 320 square ft of Terra cotta 18 tile. 5 or so tiles are broken on the corners.
Chances are good that the tile was purchased locally by either the tile installer or the builder. If I were in your shoes, I would take the pictures to your local flooring businesses and let them identify it for you. Chances are good that you can still get the same tile in the same shade since it is only a year old. To save some time, call around to make sure that the flooring businesses in your area carry ceramic tile before you spend your hard earned gas money visiting them. Good luck with your project.
Q: Jane marble tiles how to join
See what place, if someone in the agent you can not proxy
Q: im doing a science project and i want to know how to get mold or mildew to from on a tile
Make sure that you are not using a sealed/finished tile. A terracotta or the back of a ceramic tile will work as long as you keep it damp. To start soak the tile overnight in a bucket of purified water, not from the tap. Tap water has chemicals to kill off the spores for mold/mildew. You'll need to always keep the tile damp so a warm damp place will be needed. If you know of somewhere with some mold/mildew spores growing, that'll speed things up. Otherwise, it may take weeks to grow naturally. If you do have a source for the spores, use a Q-tip swab to wipe the spores off and onto the tile surface. Good Luck
