Features of pvc pipes :
1) Light weight, easy to load and unload: PVC pipe is very light, convenient to handle loading unloading, and installing.
2) Good chemicals and drugs resistance: PVC pipe has its excellent resistance to the erosion caused by acids and alkalines, a great help to the chemical industries.
3) Small resistance to fluidity: The smooth surface reduces resistance to the fluids. Its roughness coefficient is only 0.009, much less than other pipes, Under same discharges, smaller cabibre of the pipe can be uesd.
4) Strong mechanical strength: Good resistance to water pressure, outside impact and pressure, is satisfied under any conditions.
5) Good electrical insulation: excellent insulation nature against electricity. the pvc pipe can be served as conduits and pipes in construction cable and wire.
6) Water quality unaffected: The solution tests on the PVC pipe show no affect on water quality when the water flows through is. It is considered the best piping material for running water works.
7) Simple installation: Very easy to connect, thus much time and laborcost may be saved.
Application of pvc pipes:
1) Structure Engineering, home water supply and drainage |

- Q: Are plastic tubes FDA approved?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be FDA approved. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates and approves various types of plastics for use in medical devices and packaging, including plastic tubes. However, the specific approval status depends on the intended use and the specific materials used in the manufacturing of the tubes.
- Q: What are the common lengths of plastic tubes?
- The common lengths of plastic tubes vary depending on their intended purpose, but some commonly available lengths include 1 foot (30 cm), 2 feet (60 cm), and 4 feet (120 cm).
- Q: What kinds of plastic pipes are divided into?
- Plastic pipe is usually plastic resin as raw material, adding stabilizers, lubricants, etc., to "plastic" method in the pipe mill by extrusion processing.
- Q: water frezzes in tube fill icemaker, if I clear out it works fine a couple times and then frezzes up again.
- Turn your freezer thermostat down just a little at a time until the plastic line stops freezing
- Q: What is the plastic pipe joint of water supply pipe?
- Taps, fittings, elbows, valves, etc
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of shape or design?
- Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of shape and design. They are typically manufactured in cylindrical shapes due to the nature of their production process, which involves extrusion or injection molding. While it is possible to create variations such as oval or rectangular tubes, these options are more limited and less common. Additionally, complex designs or intricate shapes may not be feasible or cost-effective to produce using plastic tubing.
- Q: I think it may be meth or crack or something? What should I do?
- It probably is not, if it was meth than why would it be using a plastic tube, plastic melts.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for structural applications?
- No, plastic tubes are generally not suitable for structural applications as they lack the strength and durability required for supporting heavy loads or withstanding significant forces.
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of recyclability or environmental impact?
- Yes, plastic tubes have limitations in terms of recyclability and environmental impact. While some plastic tubes are recyclable, the process is often complex and requires specialized facilities. Additionally, the presence of multiple materials, such as caps or labels, can further complicate the recycling process. Moreover, certain types of plastic tubes, like those made from mixed plastics or containing non-recyclable components, are not easily recyclable and can end up in landfills or incinerators, contributing to environmental pollution. Therefore, it is important to consider the material composition and design of plastic tubes to minimize their environmental impact and promote recycling efforts.
- Q: Can duct tape be used to fix flexible plastic tubing? We sprung a leak in the flexible plastic tubing last night and so I am hoping I can just use duct tape to fix the small crack in the flexible plastic tubing. Thanks,Jeff
- I have used duct tape to seal a TIRE, but never a tube. I am not much for patching my high pressure tubes because of the balance issues. I never hit the road without 2 extra tubes in my seat pack. I do carry a small patch fit, but I use those to seal the inner casing of the tire. I should own stock in one of those tube factories, for I buy new tubes by the half dozen.
