- Q: I'm 14 and I go to a technical highschool, I'm in hvac because I missed electrical by 1 person, if I get the chance should I switch to electrical? I already have my tools and uniform.
- What interests you the most? There is employment in both fields, and both pay good. You'll have to be a journeyman, no matter what before you get a master's license. I would frankly stick with HVAC because you will learn electrical stuff as you go along. I worked as a technician on food service equipment and vending machines for 20 years. There are a LOT of HVAC technicians and refrigeration technicians who also hold electrical licenses, but very few electricians who have licenses in any other area than electrical.
- Q: I live in Houston texas and am planning on getting a degree in either electrical or mechanical engineering. What do they both involve? Which is better pay and more job offering?
- Job outlook is the same. Salary. In most cases, electrical engineers get paid a little more ($3000-5000 more per year on average). But it is not always the case. It depends on industry, location, job hazards, job title, job responsibilities, education, and experience. For both majors, the starting salary range is $45,000-60,000 per year. After 5 years of experience, the ranges are around $63,000-73,000. After 20+ years of experience, the salary for both would be around $88,000-98,000 average. Mechanical engineers solve problems related to mechanical issues whether it is quality, reliability, maintainability related or HVAC and plumbing related, or if it is related to designing a mechanical component with strict tolerances. For example, my mechanical engineering friend is working on this hugs project. His company is developing just one of the gears that will go in future Subaru transmissions. He has to design that single gear to strict tolerances to withstand extreme pressures, speeds, and temperatures. Electrical engineers solve problems related to electrical systems. They design electrical systems for buildings and equipment, conduct electrical surveying, quality inspect circuit boards and other electrical parts. They design or improve electrical components as well.
- Q: i am currently working as a dog groomer, but i have been thinking of starting my own small business for a few years now. some ideas i had are dog walking, gardening services such as mowing lawns, weeding and planting, illustrations (i went to college for art), or hair cutting.are any of these ideas worth pursuing? what is required to start your own small business? if you started your own small business do you have any tips for me? how did you get started? thank you!
- I'll endorse you to devise an advertisement procedure for your business. In these days establishing a brand new business isn't that enormous undertaking but exact mission is to promote that industry in a greater approach. A trade which has scope to your field. Each time any individual thinks to new industry first he/she should take into account subject (nation, state and target patrons) then make a correct method for brand new industry.
- Q: I might be starting a job doing industrial electric, and I want to make sure I can read the blue prints good. I am recently graduated from high school and have a vo-tech background in electrical, only no blue print reading. I know how to read schematics, ladder diagrams, and residential blue prints, but how different are industrial and residential blueprints? Does anyone know a site where I can look at some industrial electric blueprints? I know when i get there they will be able to teach me how to read it, but I figured I would try to save everyone some time and see what I can figure out before I get there.
- Hope this helps!
- Q: Hello All, I have an electrical equipment (face steamer) which was purchased in India (220 - 240V) and wanted to check, if I could connect this to an electrical outlet in US (producing 110V). Would this cause any damage to the equipment or the outlet ?
- the easiest way is to buy a step up inverter to go from 110 to 220 a 2nd way is to run 220 from your breaker box to a 220V AC outlet in your room
- Q: Have a neighbor that is selling his van to an 80 yr old man. The van has serious electrical issues that go off and on. Just so happens it was working right when the buyer drove it. But almost everything in the dash goes on and off. Mostly it stays off. Is it legal for the seller to not be honest?
- caveate emperitorlet the buyer beware. it not illegal to non disclose faults, but it is a dick thing to do.
- Q: hi, i am an electrican with 12 yrs experince within domestic/commercial/industrial industries.I am at the stage where i am thinking of my future career and would like to add more strings to my bow.But i dont really know what courses are out there, and which ones would make me more attractive to employers?I was thinking about going for the explosive atmosphere ticket and maybe the 2391, any help would be much appreciatted.
- it fairly is stable in case you savour doing the artwork of electric engineers no occupation is stable in case you hate artwork daily electric engineering, like assorted the engineering fields has some good factors like stable pay, many diverse varieties of jobs, possibilities to visit administration or different alterations, etc yet interior the top, the problem is, are you able to savour it (no longer all the products of prevalent, all jobs have stuff to hate, thats why they pay you, yet assorted the time are you able to savour maximum of it)
- Q: Do they actually build stuff or just wire them? I know this is probably a stupid question.
- no it isn't, you learn a lot other than just wire handling here is a link of what you learn in a 4 year course of bachelors in engineering csvtu.ac.in/syllabus_new.htm
- Q: After all, the whole point of ATEX certification is that it doesn't make a fire. One would think if you can safely use something in an explosive atmosphere you can use it on shabbos. By the same token a shabbos light should be safe to use in an explosive atmosphere.
- When I was in fourth grade, the science teacher taught us the physics definition of work and explained how it differs from the everyday definition of work Much like that -- Jewish legal definitions of Hebrew words do not always line up perfectly with the everyday use of English words that aproximate them. With electrical items, the prohibition of fire is only one of the prohibitions to be aware of for Shabbat -- off the top of my head, there is also boneh (building) and bishul (cooking) On the reverse side -- your logic does not hold in even the most basic English definition. It is only the Karaites that believe there is a Shabbat prohibition of fire, the normative prohibition is on making fire and putting out fire -- thus, there are quite a few devices used on Shabbat that are straight forwardly on fire (well, heck -- just think of the candles themselves!!!) A Shabbat lamp is simply always on - but has some cover to keep the light from bothering. Hopefuly, this whole structure is well insulated (I don't know -- never used one)
