With a multimeter, you can measure resistance between the circuit neutral and any point that you think might be a possible ground. To effectively bond equipment, a suitable equipment ground will have a fraction of an ohm of resistance to the neutral. The purpose of an equipment ground is to be able to generate a very high ground fault current to ensure that a breaker will trip or fuse will clear very rapidly in the envent of a ground fault. An earth ground, or grounding electrode, serves a different purpose. You provide an earth ground so that the neutral conductor and all of the metal equipment enclosures will be at the same voltage as the earth, so if you are standing on a concrete floor or on the ground, and touch an electrical equipment enclosure, you won't get an electrical shock. The earth ground should be connected to a circuit neutral at only one point which should be at the main electrical disconnect or electrical meter.

- In order to get the most from your Mac as sound generator use a reasonably good audio interface (like the E-mu 0404 usb or something from M-audio). This should be connected to a mixer and this one to the PA system. You also should connect your microphone and guitars to the mixer too, so you can control the volume of each instrument, including the Mac. Although you can connect the mac directly to an Amp I won't do that in order to get control of volume and have better sound. Computers generally don't like live performing. Electric voltage can be unstable (heavy power consumption and lights on-off pattern). Use the appropriate electric equipment to make sure the computer always receive the correct amount of voltage. If not, it can fail and ruin your performance. Make a test where possible.

- 1 Yes there is a seperate battery for auxillaries and a seperate battery that runs the electric motor/charger. 2 the alternator that runs the auxillaries is a normal 60 to 90 watt unit. It cannot charge the batteries that drive the car. 3 no differant than addind to a regular car.
