- Q: I want a 48" bathroom vanity, I NEED it to have the drawers on the left hand side, and I need it to be $250 or less. Hopefully much less. I have a sink and I have countertop.I've found that 48" vanities are rare, and the ones out there are usually ridiculously fancy and overpriced. It's nearly impossible to find ANY vanities with drawers on the left, and if I can find any they are either smaller than 48" or ridiculously fancy and overpriced.So I thought about getting a 24" kitchen base cabinet and a 24" kitchen drawer base cabinet and putting them together to make a 48" sink base. Are there any drawbacks to this?
- well . . maybe the positioning of the sink. That's the only thing you need to think of as far as i can see.

- Check online or in the yellow pages of the phone book for a class company. They're able to get glass of many thicknesses and can also bevel or grind the edges. They'll install it for you, too.

- Q: How hard is it to change out an ugly bathroom vanity/sink?
- Not to terribly complicated. First pick out a new vanity and sink that best fits your style and bathroom. then you'll need a screw gun, plumbing tools, a hand saw, jig saw , and tape measure. First shut off the water supply to the hot and cold water lines. then with a bucket under, loosen and disconnect all plumbing. remove sink top, unscrew vanity from wall and discard. next measure plumbing placement on existing bathroom wall so to prep the new vanity for plumbing holes. install vanity (level).Place toe kick on front. Set fauct to sink and connect proper hoses. silicon sink top to vanity. secure drain lines. be sure to use plumbers putty so to avoid leaks. once all is back together test to ensure tight fit and your set to go.

- Most special order tops will have 2-6 week lead times. Your best bet is to check locally for cultured marble companies...check with some local counter top vendors & inquire where you can get a custom vanity top made. Good luck...
- Q: I just primed my laminate bathroom vanity with Zinsser Bondz. Do I need to sand prior to applying my finish coats of paint? The back of the can says dries in 2 hours and can be lightly sanded/and or top coated after 2 hours. This is confusing! Lightly sand or not? Thanks in advance for any help!
- It means that if you are satisfied with the smoothness of the primer coat then you can apply your finish coat. If it feels rough to you then it is okay to lightly sand it, wipe it clean and then apply your top coat. Pretty straight forward directions.
- Q: The developer used a kitchen cabinet for the vanity in the bathroom. It's really big and has lots of storage but It's kind of deep, which means you can't get really close to the mirror and has no drawer space, but I can deal with that. Problem is it's counter height and he installed an above counter faucet. I'm 5'5" and it's tough for me to use. Any ideas on how to fix? Get a recessed sink installed. The countertop is granite... - If you are building (new) the builder should provide the option of getting the rooms that you want. Almost always the owner's suite is higher (2011-2012), even as the bedrooms are smaller (some as little as 9x9). Why would you build with out the formals that you would not even get with the 8 yr ancient condominium? So far as insulation, the 2003 condo is probably going similar to the 2012 (or which you can add extra). If the financial institution has misplaced over 100k, then its fairness that must finally recuperate. Money-wise, sounds just like the 2003 is a greater deal.

- Q: I am remodeling my master bathroom and I have already ripped out the old vanity and I'm about to put in the new one. The old vanity and top appeared to be of normal length (60'/61'), like the new pair I picked up at OKorders (I did a quick measure and it looked close, so I assumed it was of standard size). However, the geniuses who built my home built the space for the vanity (between a regular wall and a half-wall beside the toilet) exactly 60' wide. So while the vanity will squeeze in, the vanity top won't. I am thinking I will have to end up removing the half-wall, but I want to do as little work as possible. Is there a way to shave an inch off the wall? Anybody think of any ideas? BTW, the vanity top is a marble top, so I doubt I can shave an inch off that.....Thanks in advance.
- why don't you build it into the wall since you are going to have to remove it and ..hopefully there is no beams.. oh the outlet I just read... lets hope the electrical can run under it..or I would consult with someone who works with marble... building it into the wall or even changing the form of the wall may de-value your house.. I would consider a new vaniy..sadly
