Q:I would like to purchase a mobile phone with sim card from the states and send it to my fiance in Nigeria? I already did it and it took forever for it to be delivered, but he did get it. But he is unable to use it cuz of the american sim. He wasnt even able to put his existing sim into it to make it work. I want to actually buy a phone online and have it sent directly to Nigeria.Is this possible? I just want to make sure it will work and make sure he gets it faster than the last time. I tried to find a phone online that works with his phone provider which is called Zain Nigeria and I have had no such luck. Please can someone help me. thank you very much: The simple answer is, you can't. Most US phones do not work in Africa and vice versa because they use different operating systems. Mobile phones are ridiculously cheap in Nigeria - on the street you can buy many different models for under $10. Everyone in Nigeria has a mobile phone, even poor people, because they are so cheap.

Q:I am trying my luck for the one last time if T-Mobile right for me. the phone i have is motorala razr which really terrible- poor reception, dropped calls etc. any suggestion just a simple tmobile phone with good reception , that is all in needed: Well where do you live? And by that time, the current phones will no longer be sold, and there will be new models. What's nice about the merger is that they are both very similar technologies. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard several stories of iPhone users using their phone with T-Mobile. So I'm sure it will work the other way also. And once the merger is complete, you will no longer have two separate companies, and it all will be one big, happy ATT, and any new phones that come out between now and then will be contracted with this in mind.

And if it can be, not very easily. Here's why. Virgin Mobile makes great cheap phones. But they come at a different price. They intentionally limit (nice way of saying cripple) the phone in certain ways to prevent phone unlockers from taking these cheap phones and putting them on other phone networks like Metro PCS or Cricket. Virgin Mobile along with Tracfone both sell cheap phones and are famous for suing big time phone unlockers. And often winning the lawsuits too. To prevent unlockers from hacking their phones , one of the most common things they do is limit user access to the phone by limiting usb cable connections, bluetooth and other data port connections between the phones and pcs ( usb cable connections is one of the most common ways to flash/unlock a phone). The Aloha might be an exception but I don't think so because it is a cheaper model. (Virgin doesn't want some company buying up hundreds of Alohas at Best Buy or whatever and reflashing them and reselling them for a big profit at Virgin Mobile's expense.) They spend a lot protecting their lower end stuff. Kind of ironic really .

Is there any way for me to put two SIM cards into one phone?: I don't think they make phones that accept two SIM cards at the same time. What they do make are SIM cards that hold two numbers. I have a TWIN card with Vodafone in Spain and I can switch between the two lines without taking the card out, simply by typing the PIN number for whichever line I want active. I can't have both on at once, but I have a free automatic divert from one line to the other, so people calling my Private line are patched through to my Business line without noticing. Doesn't do it for SMSs which is a real pain.

It's terrible for text and has a short battery charge. The small display on my phone is very scratched already with just normal use. I tried to return the phone in the first week after I purchased it with no luck. I have the 50. Unlimited plan and added 10. for unlimited international text. No one else I've found offers unlimited international text. Boost has the best plan I've found but poor service quality and the Motorola i335 is not a good phone. I know this does'nt answer your question but may be helpful.
