- The cell-phone only works, when recognizing by the MPT. There can be more than one defect. Check the cable (possibly newinstallation). Check the battery of the phone ( must be full). Check the MPT installation. Check Ur steps to conect the phone.

- I have Boost Mobile and I purchased the Motorola i335 and am very unhappy with it. It's terrible for text and has a short battery charge. The small display on my phone is very scratched already with just normal use. I tried to return the phone in the first week after I purchased it with no luck. I have the 50. Unlimited plan and added 10. for unlimited international text. No one else I've found offers unlimited international text. Boost has the best plan I've found but poor service quality and the Motorola i335 is not a good phone. I know this does'nt answer your question but may be helpful.

- Not any phone company. Different carriers use different systems. Like cdma and gsm.Sprint, Virizon, and alltell are services that use cdma, which is basically an internal built sim. Some carriers offer a flash service that enables you to use their carrier, however once flashed your phone will only be able to be with that carrier. ATT once activating your phone will block it from being used anywhere else.Hope this helps.

That aside, navigation and communication problems very rarely cause airplanes to crash. The main reason cell phones cannot be used while airborne is that their range increases dramatically with altitude, and being able to trigger multiple cell tower relays creates havoc within the cellular system, particularly if a lot of airborne phones are being activated at once in the same region. It's all about the cellular network.
