- Q: If a LED light bulb and an incandescent bulb have the same voltage, emit same amount of light, how much longer would LED last? Please help me explain. Thank you so much! =D
- LED lights last around 50000 hours, whereas CFLs are about 10000 hours and incandescent last around 1000 hours. LED lights are also much more efficient than other light sources. An incandescent bulb emits energy at all different wavelengths, only about 10% of which is actual light. This means a 100 watt incandescent bulb will produce only about 10 watts of actual light. Most of the energy is infrared or heat. An LED bulb emits around 80% light, so a 100 watt LED bulb will emit 80 watts of light. That's why you can replace a 100 watt incandescent bulb with a 12 watt LED bulb 100 watt incandescent = 10 watts of light 12 watt LED = 9.6 watts of light The reason LED's last so much longer is that they have no filament to burn out. Since they run on DC, they have an electronic driver to convert the AC to DC. The electronic driver is usually what fails, due to its own overheating or normal life expectancy.

- Q: Do you use stand for modeling light or it hand held? I got studio kit with 2 strobes and 1 modeling light. With that i have total 2 light stands. so wondering how modeling light is held?
- I can't think of any exceptions but with most strobe lights the modeling light is integrated into the strobe head itself. This allows you to get an idea of where your strobes are focused on the subject. Furthermore the modeling light is usually a tungsten balanced light which emits a yellow light compared to the strobes which emit a bluish daylight colored light which is why you need to use daylight balanced film with your camera. Perhaps the modeling light you are refering to is a hot-light such as a smith victor? Furthermore just to let you know it isnt a good idea to hand hold any strobe light. If there is an exposed wire, or the bulb explodes you will be seriously injured. The capacitors in strobes build up extreme amounts of electricity. Furthermore if you have a strobe kit with a seppate powerpack, always use the on off switch and never just pull the plug...in addition, click the test button to discharge any remaining voltage from the pack...sometimes if you unplug a pack before turning off the pack it can explode, norman strobe packs are prone to this, and when it goes off, it can be like dynamite going off, and send pieces of shrapnel flying all over the place, no joke.

- Battery light and Brake light are usually independent sensors/fault indicators. Battery may need replacement, or possibly be dead due to fault in the charging system (alternator). Most auto parts store can check both for free with proper testing equipment. Since electric power is dead or very low, the PCM could be throwing other false errors. Get the battery issue resolved first and other errors might go away. If not then continue with diagnosis. Brake light, could be a burnt out brake light bulb, dirty ABS sensors, or pads/shoes worn out and needs replacement, or low brake fluid level.

- If the lights ground them selfall you do is run power through your switch to the light and it will work
- Q: Just bought a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 and can't get it inspected because the tail lights are blacked out. So I bought a set of tail lights. The blacked out led tail lights had 3 plugs to connect the tail light. The new one has only 1 plug for all three sets of lights. I have tried searching for an adapter that can replace the 3 to make one to adapt to the new tail lights but all I come up with is wiring harnesses for trailers.How can I find this part???
