This truck has the towing package such as transmission cooler factory class five hitch and 87k miles and I believe 3.73 axle ratio. I'm wondering if I can tow a 7000lb excavator plus trailer on a short trip 10-15 miles with only one somewhat major grade. I'm planning on having to take it really easy on the truck but just curious if I should forget the idea all together.
- It should be fine as long as the Silverado is equipped with the proper electric brake control and weight distribution hitch. The truck has an 8500 lb towing capacity. Bear in mind the weight of the excavator AND the trailer.
- Q:Hi,Previous owner build a brick fence. About 2 feet high, 25 feet long, with about 1 foot deep concrete foundation. This was obviously not deep enough since I live in a cold region and now the fence looks realy bad, going from 2 feet high to 1.5 foot high in the middle!What do you think is the best way to remove all that ? (sledge hammer, rent a concrete saw or a jack hammer) ? I'll also have to get rid of all the bricks and concrete so i was wondering if I might as well have someone do it for me with some kind of excavator.Thanks!
- Easiest if you plan to do it yourself is to rent a Bobcat with a bucket and a jackhammer tip. Use the pecker to break everything up and then put the bucket on for cleanup. Make sure you have good ear and eye protection. Works great. Good luck.

- You'd need to offer several humid hiding spots, but yes, I've actually set up leopard geckos on excavator clay before. Make sure you get it wet, sculpt it, and let it dry completely before putting them on it, but it'd work quite well for leopard geckos. Due to how dry it makes the cage, it's mandatory that you provide at least 2 humid hiding areas, though. -Jen

- If you're aged between 18 and 30, you are eligible for a 12 month Working Holiday visa, which can be extended to 24 months if you do 88 days of rural type work during your first 12 months. Excavator Driver (or Heavy Equipment Operator or similar) is not on any of the lists of occupations that are eligible for work visas and your occupation must be listed before an employer can sponsor you for one. On a WHV, you are only allowed to work for each employer for up to 6 months which can make it difficult to get anything other than casual work. I don't know what's involved in getting a log book, but if it means that you don't actually have any experience or certification, that would make it even more difficult to find heavy equipment driving work on a WHV.
