- I hope this helps, I found that on m,mine that cord is a disengagement cord. it will allow the mechanism to release so you can manually open the door. push the clip back upwards or clip it back in and press the button to engage the motor it should run until it catches the clip again and re engage,
- Q: I have a 2004 Mercedes c230 sedan. The rear-driver-side door lock is broken. The physical knob that goes up and down is completely loose, not connected to anything, won't screw on to anything. It's just sitting there in the little hole. It does not lock or unlock with the automatic locks. The door is in a permanent lock from the outside, however it can be opened from the inside. Any ideas? - Q: I have a 2 car steal roll up door with a Genie 1024. It's by far the slowest opener I've seen. On my 3rd door I have an old American Door co opener and it's at least twice as fast. The springs on the door are well balanced. I tested them by disconnecting the opener and ensuring I could open the door by hand with just two fingers. Is there some sort of speed adjustment? BTW it's been slow since the day it was installed.
