- Q: in the red badge of courage explain the mechanical metaphor crane uses to describe war?
- I don't have a copy of TRBOC around but what you want to look for is a passage in which war is compared to, say, a machine of some sort.
- Q: IN HEAVY LIFTING WORKS, Which type of crane is better ? Certain area I See Cranes with JIbs are being used and for same type of lifting jobs i See TELESCOPIC CRANES are used. Ofcourse both are Mobile cranes. I see JIB cranes are assembled at site ...

- Q: How the cranes can stand without any tipping with huge counter weights on its back? If there is no suspended load also the crane is is still stable with huge counter weights on its back. How it can possible? Why crane is not offballencing while we adding extra counter weights on it without any suspended load?
- Usually the counterweights can move back and forth on an arm. They are moved toward the crane when there is no load and away from the crane when there is a load. If the counterweights can't move, then the crane must be designed to hold (at least) the minimum counterweights in their fixed location. As the crane gets loaded, the net moment decreases, and then increases in the other direction as more and more load gets added. It is still likely that the maximum design moment when loaded far exceeds the moment due to the counterweights on an unloaded crane.
- Q: The truck has a Comprehensive Motor insurance cover. There is no exclusion in the policy in respect of tools of trade.
- The crane and the truck are one and the same vehicle, so I can't see why a claim on fully comp. wouldn't be valid. If this is not the case, then the crane IS the cargo, so surely the claim would go to the insurer of the crane, and not the lorry.
- Q: A family of cranes are at my house they are attacking my ducks and im scared they will kill them
- call fish and game or animal control. if they are on your property and are injuring or frightening your own animals, l am sure you are within your rights to take the matter in your own hands. harrass or chase them until they decide they don't like your property and leave on their own. l watched one kill a grebe on my local lake and fly off with it. l had no idea they would attack waterfowl. l think most states allow you to protect your private property from predation by wild animals. as long as they aren't whooping cranes (which they most likely are not), as soon as hunting season arrives (or sooner!), they may be edible... whooping cranes are the only federally protected ones. should a family of those arrive, consider yourself fortunate. but protect your ducks.
- Q: Grade 4 build a working crane Help!?
- I would use about a 2 foot piece of broomstick pinned through a hole in one end. Maybe 2 to 3 inches away, a larger clearance hole with a 1/4-20 nut glued under. Use a lo-o-ong 1/4-20 bolt as a driver. (1/4-20 is 1/4 inch diameter with 20 threads per inch.) I leave the mounts and string up to you as to encourage your participation and creativity.
- Q: We had a very large tree removed from beside our house. The crane parked in the driveway and caused four very large depressions and crushed concrete.
- Yes- it almost certainly will be covered. Most (if not all) homeowners policies provide coverage for driveways, walkways, etc. See your policy for specific language. I was an adjuster for 15 years, and I handled this sort of claim on a regular basis. It is very common for large vehicles to damage driveways, especially dump trucks. As long as there is sufficient evidence that the crane caused the damage (rather than normal wear and tear) it will almost certainly be covered. Your homeowners insurance will then subrogate against the tree removal company.
- Q: Emergency treatment of interrupted electricity during lifting of tower crane
- The rotating gear shall be immediately inserted into the screw or wood, while the power supply shall be checked rapidly to remove the trouble.
- Q: i really need help
- Influenced by Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, Crane believed that people’s actions were determined by environmental factors rather than by conscious choices on their part. He believed also that conflict was the crucible in which human development occurred, and thus was attracted to the violent and seamy aspects of human experience.
- Q: i was wondering
- it would be better if you tried it. :P Ive never heard the story but this is actually wishing magick. so I would vote true on it, but i think there are better wishing methods that won't require that much time and won't kill trees. Blessings, Shadow
