2. Description

In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.

4. FAQ

1)what is aluminum?

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

Q: I bought some snow crab jumbo legs and claws to cook for my SO on his birthdayI never made these before and want to make him something specialAny recipes you can pass down to me that are 110% delicious :) thank you
Just go on google and search aroundI did the same thing yesterday! It comes up with so many results! Here are some of my favorites: Build a fort have a friend over go to the movies go to the beach rent a couple of movies (scary, funny, whatever) and stay up all night with friends watching them learn to do something cool that you cant do (juggle, surf, sail) make breakfast, lunch, or dinner for you and your family (family's optional) have a party play flashlight tag at night Play with sparklers Well that's all i can think of.
Q: Can aluminum foil be used as a suitable material for wrapping food when freezing it?

Yes, aluminum foil can be used for freezing food. It is a good conductor of heat, which helps food freeze quickly and evenly. Aluminum foil also creates an airtight seal, preventing freezer burn and preserving the food's freshness. However, it's important to ensure the foil is food-grade and avoid using it directly with acidic or high-sodium foods as it may react with the foil. Additionally, it's recommended to wrap food securely to maintain its shape and prevent freezer odors from affecting the taste.

Q: I'm currently in the process of having a dog crate built/welded out of aluminum round bar, angle iron, and square tubingI needed a heavy duty cage because I have a Blue Pitbull/American Bulldog Mix who has separation anxiety and has managed to break and bend one of these ASPCA crates founat Petco/Petsmart type stores to the point where it can no longer contain himThe only crates I can find online that would hold him costs between $800-$1000 so I calculated that I can have one built for about 1/4-1/3 that price.I was going to use standard aluminum floor plate for the bottom inside the cage but it seems like this would be cold, hard, and uncomfortableSince he manages to tear up any bedding or blankets I put in there for him I need something soft enough for comfort but strong enough so he cannot rip it up.Anyone know of any type of material I can use for this?
The silver in film is part of a silver salt (silver halides.) It is a very very small amount, probably less than 1 cent worth per rollYou would be a lot better off selling the film than trying to extract the silver from itIf you are hell bent on it, the first step is to expose the film to lightThis will break the silver from the halidesThen you can go about trying to figure out how to get the silver apart from the filmI am sure it is possible, but it would involve a lot of workI imagine you you would spend about $100 on ever $1 worth of silver you could extract.
Q: Also, is it ok to use vegetable oil on a cookie sheet instead of nonstick spray?
i would be a little concerned about using the part order then ordering enough to finish the project why ? because unless they can guarantee a perfect match you could end up with a slightly different shade the pattern and shades number must match will they be off the same loom if you understand what i am saying just like wall paper you check you have the same production numbers so i would say order enough new for what you require
Q: Or some other similar late summer kid snack like this.
it relies upon on the hub for the internetin case you dont have the nicely suited hub, it wont allow you to do ityou may desire to pass to superb purchase or someplace and ask them in the event that they have any community hubs.
Q: I would like to make some souvenier candy barsIs there a website (or a store) that sells pink aluminum foil?
Hobby Lobby usually has that stuff, more like in sheets not rolls.call your local one and see.
Q: i just bought a john boat and im trying to repair leaks in rivets and also the transom.i removed the bolts holding the wood transom on and now i want to put it back on the boat.is there a sealer are gasket i can use to put between the aluminum and transom wood??there are alot of bolt holes holding the transom on and i dont want it to leak.
all boats are different - the jon boat however is easy to repair - you should use some heavy-duty right angle brackets to re-install a new wood transom - cut and shape the wood for a near ''o'' tolerance to fit the rear of the boat - go to the ''glue section'' of Lowe's or home depot and find a product of two-part epoxy to seal the wood to the metal - if applied too heavily it's okay because when dried you can paint over and it will look fine also the rivets are a two man job - try to hold the rivet head with the side of a shop hammer (use like an anvil) and tap the smashed end of the rivet tighter _- after tightening the rivets use the epoxy to seal the old rivets to the inside floor of the boat - this will also cause the boat to run quieter and decrease the leaks - alot of bolt holes in the transom can be fixed with the replaced new wood - the size of the motor is a factor to consider,,, the larger the horse-power the stronger the transom must be to hold the pressure of the motor pushing the boat thru the water.
Q: Is tin foil paper the same as aluminum foil paper?
The original tin foil paper is indeed made from tin, but as tin foil paper is harder than aluminum foil and easy to affect the food with a taste of tin, aluminum foil paper replaces tin foil paper in daily life after the reduction of aluminum price. However, as aluminum can affect the development of brain, aluminum foil at present is coated to avoid the liberation of aluminum.
Q: A recycling center can recycle 1800 pounds of aluminum in one hourHow many hours will it take them to recycle 13 tons of aluminum? Round your answer to the nearest tenth(Hint: 1 ton 2000 pounds.) 13.3 hours 15.2 hours 14.4 hours 17.6 hours
