You'll find that a bedset in solid color will work best. If you use a printed set, you'll just find that the bed is at war with the bedding. Opt for a nice bright solid color and then add your other colors in cushions, etc.

They can climb, though, and have been known to crawl up walls and drop into beds and other furniture from the ceiling. If you got flying bugs it's something different than bedbugs.
