- Q: hi guys i got my scaffold piercing a couple of days ago and it keeps bleeding on and off and there was dry blood but i removed it and its bleeding more what could i do step by step to keep total care of my piercing to get rid of all these problem please help it will really be appreciated
- Dab it with tissue until it stops, Try not to play with it too much and if you need to touch it, ALWAYS wash your hands before doing so. Also do hot salt water soaks (as hot as you can stand) twice a day and it'll heal nicely in no time :)
- Q: What are the dangers of scaffolding
- Analysis of the types of scaffolding accidents1) the entire frame dumping or local collapse frame2) the whole frame instability and vertical collapse3) personnel from scaffold falling
- Q: Also what 2 cell populations in the body that don't routinely undergo cell division
- The first one is vague. The answer could be the mitotic spindle. It might be kinetochore microtubules. It might be talking about the kinetchores on the chromosomes instead of the microtubules that attach to the kinetochores. It could possibly even be talking about the centromeres, though to me that seems less likely. Neurons in the adult brain (and mature muscle cells?) do not routinely undergo cell division.
- Q: If you have two workers say standing on a scaffolding, their are downward forces from the weight of the workers along with the weight of the scaffold, and upward forces from tension suspending the scaffolding in place. The opposite forces add to zero and thus the scaffolding remains at rest.My question has to do with what would occur if more/less workers were on the scaffolding. It appears to me that the scaffolding would always remain at rest. Would there always be a ΣF=0 regardless of the amount of workers? As the decreases in weight from removing a worker would also cause the tension force to be weaker? And vice versa if there were more workers?I
- You are correct so long as the scaffolding is not allowed to move. I.e. the cables suspending it are locked and not unwinding from their spools as more workers get on. More weight added would necessarily increase the tension in this type of case. However, if, when another worker got on and the tension could not increase for what ever reason, a downward acceleration would take place that is proportional to the worker's weight. Hope that clears things up.
- Q: I'm trying to understand a problem in my physics book. The problem is this:A person is pulling on a rope, that is connected to a pulley on the ceiling. The rope then goes to a box with a pulley on it, and then up to the ceiling where the rope is connected (to the ceiling). The rope and pulleys are massless and frictionless. The book lists three forces (tension forces) going up and one weight force pulling down.My question is, why isn't there another force pulling against the tension of the rope from the guy pulling the rope?
- well, the person is going to have to pull on the rope, and that will be another force that is not pictured in the book. if you think about it, when a rope is under tension, each end is getting pulled, like a tug of war, otherwise it just moves toward the other force. When the forces are balanced, the rope is in tension and does not move. The forces pictured in the book are tension provided by the weight. The person will have to add a tension force downward to compensate.
- Q: My mom wouldn't let me get snakebites or cyberbites but she will let me get my scaffold pierced. I know people have different things for pain etc etc I know it will hurt but I want it pierced. So, to someone who has gotten it pierced or knows about it is there anything special you have to do to take care of it or is it just like the ear lobe piercing.
- it probably does hurt cuz of your cartilage just put rubbing alchahol on it and it should be okay =)
- Q: What does scaffold one's days mean? kill time?
- In 60 years of using English in Britain I have not come across that expression, so it is probably rare. Scaffolding is put up to help build or repair tall buildings, so possibly that expression means 'to do something useful with one's time.' But a scaffold is also, historically, a place of execution (legal killing of prisoner), so the expression could mean indeed 'wasting time'. I have a faint feeling that 'scaffold one's days' was written by a non-native speaker of British English. It may be more common in the USA.
- Q: I got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago, with titanium, and it was fine until yesterday.I had a couple of nights out and might have knocked it a few times, but yesterday it was swollen, red, throbbing and very painful. There is no liquid coming from it. It seems to have got worse today.I have been following the aftercare advice and cleaning it several times a day with rock salt solution and (up until yesterday) savlon antiseptic spray. Is it just irritated or is it infected? How long should I wait before I go to the doctor? If it is infected, will I have to take it out or just take antibiotics? Thanks!
- It's irritated. If it was infected, it would be oozing green or yellow gunk:) If it gets to that point, go to the doctor. Until then, just treat is regularly with salt solution:) Hope this helped!
- Q: I had my scaffold pierced yesterday and now it is swollen and red. Its throbbing and painful. I have cleaned it and applied ice and antiseptic spray.I don't own any sea salt.HELP ME! I'M SO TEMPTED TO REMOVE IT.
- Antiseptics are too harsh for a healing piercing, the pain, swelling and redness is completely normal. Stop using antiseptic and go to the grocery store to get some non-iodized sea salt, its only a few dollars and you can find it in the spice aisle where the regular salt is.
- Q: What are the safety requirements for the dismantling of construction scaffolding
- (1) prior to the dismantling of the scaffold, the work instructions for the removal shall be prepared and submitted for approval according to the design approval procedure of the scaffold. No work instructions or safety measures are not implemented, it is strictly prohibited to dismantle the work.(2) prior to the removal of the work, the approved work instructions and construction plans shall be made to the site construction personnel. And should check the implementation of site safety measures.
