Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is non-ionic cellulose ether, made by natural high polymer cellulose as raw material and series of chemical processing. They provide water retention and cohesiveness to mixtures. With special modification, it can be used to control thickening, water demand, workability, sag resistance, strength and other important properties of the final product.
It is widely used as thickener, adhesive, water preserving agent, film-foaming agent in building materials, industrial coatings, synthetic resin, ceramic industry, medicine, food, textile, agricultural, cosmetic and other industries.

ETICS/EIFS
To save cost of heating or cooling power, ETICS (EIFS) (External Thermal Insulation Composite System / Exterior Insulation Finish System) is used to apply thermal insulating material and reinforcing mesh to the exterior of buildings.
HPMC is used in this application as a functional additive to improve adhesion strength, workability and pot life. Also it helps to delay drying out of the mortar surfae.

- Q: i need to know the uses of food additives becase i have to do the research for bio >
- th?s top?c very extremely. ever food addt?t?ves has standart to use . wh?ch addtivites that to use do you want to learn? they are seperat?ng ?n them colours preservat?ves emuls?f?er so on......... :) good luck...
- Q: i heard there good but other people told me there bad.:Sso i wanna know are they good for any car or which car and if there good which brand should i buy??
- Stay away from oil additives. Use a high quality synthetic oil (Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, etc.) in the grade recommended by your manufacturer. The only vehicle sold here that synthetic is NOT recommended for is a Mazda rotary engine. Use a high quality oil filter (KN, Bosch, AC Delco, Motorcraft, etc.) and change your oil as recommended by the manufacturer. Just by using synthetic oil and a quality filter you will see long engine life slightly improved gas mileage without the gimmicks.
- Q: Also, I do a ton of laundry, should I have the water from my washer pumped somewhere else? I have never lived in a house with a septic system I do use bleach, but I‘ve tried my best to minimize the use of chemicals. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
- Boy, the septic haulers as a group have done a wonderful job of convincing the general public that if you don't have your tank pumped every couple of years something horrible will happen, like possibly the end of mankind as we know it, or maybe your cable would go out or something. I've lived in rural homes all my life, and that's a considerable time, and with the exception of two instances, one where some tree roots grew through some old oransberg piping going out to the tank, and another time when we had teenagers here for most of a summer using two and three times the normal amount of paper every time they used the bathroom, have had NO problems, and we don't add anything to it to help it. We are, however, fairly careful not to add anything that would hurt it, like bleach or strong detergents. We also have a separate DRYWELL for gray water, which is what your clothes wash, hand wash, shower water would all go into. If you simply treat it decently, it will give you a lifetime of service, with no problems.
- Q: is chocolate liquor a main ingredient, preservative or additive?!?
- this what? will give me, two points. WHAT'S ??
- Q: Where does water with coloring and flavoring like Mio and Crystal Lite fall on a scale of not drinking water at all, drinking plain water and drinking soft drinks?
- Water with additives may taste better, but they are not better for you. Additives are just that - additives - meaning something artificial has been added. Soft drinks are not good either. If you can, stick with plain water. It may not have the extra flavor, but it is healthier for you.
- Q: Find the additive inverse of 4 + 2i?
- The additive inverse of the expression is the negation of the expression, so the answer is -4 - 2i or -(4 + 2i) I hope this helps!
- Q: I have an 8 month old puppy who has started chewing on doors/moldings. We are working on the training and have used the bitter apple spray but would like to know if anybody has come across any product or home made recipe that could be added to paint in order to make it taste bad if the puppy chews on it. Would like to do this to add another deterrent layer when he is alone, thanks!
- A friend of mine simply rubbed his down with jalepeno juice (and actually moved up tpo habenero for one stubborn pup) . Having dealt with paints for many years, I am not aware of any additives just preventatives after painting. I would try rubbing them down BEFORE painting, and give puppy the idea that he doesn't want to be trying to chew on it. Hopefully, the experience will be bad enough that he won't want to try it after it has been re-painted. If so, simply rub it down again.
- Q: I have heard that they are not and the necessary bacteria is there from the human waste dumped into the tank. There are numerous sites that say additives are necessary and of course those sites recommend you buy it from them. So is there ever a reason to use them and which ones if any are good and which ones are scams? Also I know someone who says they haven‘t had their tank pumped in 10 years and it still works fine, but every septic site says to pump your tank every 1-3 years. Will the bacteria in a well maintained tank naturally destroy the solids making pumping unnecessary?
- You are correct. NO ADDITIVES at all. Just human waste. No grease etc. I have had this house for 34 years and have only had it pumped about 4 times. Now the new ordanace says I must get it pumped every 3 years. NO ADDITIVES.
- Q: i just want a really easy definition of food additives , and some general info on them , anything that you learned in school :)
- candy all types
- Q: Thank you so much!
- for animal feed - additive is usu chemically and artificially manufactured eg in a lab supplement is usu taken fr natural products eg leftovers of plant or animal material and then reconstituted for feed
